Get rid of the Old English 40 oz and the Natural Ice 24 oz cans that do nothing but attract vermin.  Maybe its a sign of the demographic here, but its frustrating that you can't go into a 6-pack beer takeout store in this town without the store being filled with cheap swill that attracts alchies just looking for the most ABV% as opposed to just some good beer to enjoy.  Most of the stores in this town have maybe one shelf of decent beer and the rest of the pace dedicated to 40 oz malt liquor and cheap big cans of ice beer swill.  Good thing I work in Luzerne County, because I have to go to Kingston just to buy 6 packs of good beer (I drink for quality, not quantity).

I guess I'm just thinking out loud here, don't mind my rambling, I just came across this article and it had me wishing that our town would do something similar.....

Are you kidding?? That would send the malt-likker swillin' sunsabitches from across the hall into a frenzy never seen by modern man.  If you stop selling Genesee Cream Ale, the Schlitz 40 oz. and the $2.50/6-pack Pabst Blue Ribbon, there'll be hell to pay of EPIC proportions.  El Nino my arse!!

And don't you go putting the Casanova (ROAD TRIP !!!) out of business.......

On a similar note, now that Gov. Rendell has proposed a statewide smoking ban, I wonder if the Chicken Littles across the hall will still have their tighty-whities in a bunch over the smoking ban.  After all, their main argument is that city business would be hurt by smokers running to Dunmore and Dickson City.  With the playing field leveled, I'm sure they will still bitch about it.

If Chis Doherty, Judy Gatelli, Sherry Fanucci, or any "Dobee" showed up at their door with Ed McMahon and handed them a million dollars, they would still find fault with it.

What is the origin of the word "Dobee" anyways?  You need a "DD-to-English" dictionary to translate the vocabulary of the "Jobees."

Geez, if you ban that stuff in Scranton, people will just go out of town to places like Moosic or Minooka to buy it .
