There is no doubt in my mind that this is someone using Joe Pilchesky and Ray Lyman's name ... but lets be as polite as we can ... and in case it is Mr. Pilchesky I want him to feel comfortable posting here as long as he stays within the boundaries of our Rules of Conduct.

By this I mean we will tolerate no threats, nothing that is not backed with proof ... we shall not have any "Calling for information On" threads ... and no Avatars that are not appropriate for this site. Any Avatars or posts that go against our Rules well the Moderators have permission to edit. Just be sure that you send me a copy of any of the Deleted Pilchesky Posts. As this site has rules and we stick to them .... we do not operate in the same style as the DD site.

If it is Mr. Pilchesky I am happy to have him as a member as there are many questions that the Pilchesky Deceit members have for him.

Doesn't mean he isn't a good guy, but I think someone who is interested in public service is usually seen around town involved in more things. Some of the other ones don't work for me either, Popil, McGoff, Bolus.

First off I would like to ask this poster ... when was Janet Evans first appearance at a Council meeting ... Oh that's right ... when she was sworn in ... Most do not attend Council Meetings before they become a councilman/woman ... and then they don't attend after leaving office ... Bob Bolus (and I'm no fan of his) does attend ... and Mr. Piccolino ... does attend ... let me just say this ... most people do not attend until they have a problem ... Even Les Spindler has a problem ... that's why he goes ... for god sake he's always got a problem.

You city Council Watcher are the recipient of they Hypocrite of the Day award ....

I was surprised to see this at the end of one of the old man's more tame posts today

I think the news on Joey in todays paper (under the political heading) qualifies for todays hypocrite of the day (actually more like "of the year") According to the report Joey registered to vote in 1999 (where the heck was he before that?) and has voted 5 times since 1999. Since there are two voting opportunities per year and since there have been 7 voting years to date since 1999, that means Joey has voted 5/14. that puts him at 35% voting record.

Wow, he sure isquite the political activist, greatest american alive, better than Clarence Darrow, Lawyer,Doctor, Judge,Jury, and the list goes on....

How embarrassing!! I guess despite his many many many perfected skills, finding his voting booth was just too difficult for him. Pathetic!

TB, free speech can be shown by putting signs on one's lawn. Here's an article from Bradford, PA, where private citizens were criticizing the mayor by putting signs in their front yards without a permit, and they were cited for violating the sign ordinance. My point is, in order to change the way the government is run in this town, we have to not vote in candidates who have the strong smell of 'connectedness' about them. At this stage of the game, there are very, very few who run for office who are not politically, or captialistically connected to city politics and government. Joe Gatelli is too close to those connections for me to feel comfortable electing him to a position that can influence the awarding of contracts, raising of taxes, policy of the school, and hiring teachers and staff. It's not a far reach to see the conflict of interest between him being on the school board and his daughter looking for a job in the school district. A temporary job that she already received at NEIU, was given to her although there were others higher on the list. Also, any policy he votes for or against directly influences his wife, Judy Gatelli, who is a nurse in the school district.

WOW, is all I can say about this.....Now correct me if I'm wrong, but it was ok for Janet Evans to be on the school board, while she was also on the teacher eligibility list in Scranton, but not Mr. Gatelli because his daughter is looking for a job, and from what I hear she does not even want to work in Scranton. Secondly, any policy he votes on will directly influence his wife......hello pot this is kettle...if that is her reasoning for not giving Joe Gatelli a vote, then she sould also not vote for Chris Phillips because his wife is a teacher in the district....oh abd by the way his child attends Catholic School and Paul O'malley's daughter in law is also a teacher in the district.....I don't feel the need to continue becausze as you can see everyONE is connected in one way or another.....One last note.....maybe Joanne doesn't really even vote, just like her husband.....

Paul O'Malley's son works there also ... but ... what's that got to do with anything because as I stated once before ... you won't be able to find a person who does not have some sort of realative ... because in the city of Scranton the SSD is the largest public employer ... could be the largest employer right now ... check it out ... so chances are it will be hard to find someone who doesn't have friends and relatives working there ...

How about we go on their experience ...

I was not trying to step on toes again, but there reasoning is for not voting for someone is so flawed it is ridiculous, I was just tryng to state that they are hypocrites and anything little miss Jan does is ok, they did not give her a hard time, but they are all over Gatelli, that was the only point I was trying to make, and if we are going to go on experience *which by the way is how I will vote, I would definitely want somene who has worked is the district, they know it best....sorry if I offended anyone

Ducky I absolutely understand the point you were trying to make ... and I agree with you that it is wrong ... I don't believe that we have any of the Directors ... well maybe one or two out of 9 that have no relatives working for the District ... so I agree with you that their reasoning is ridiculous ... and Jan well her son is a teacher for the district as well so why she slams Judy on a regular basis for her daughter geting a temporary position with the NEIU is beyond me ... by the way Jan's boy is an appointed teacher.

I think that educators are more likely to make better directors ... because they know what they need in the classroom ... they know what it's going to take to educate the children ... and well Mr. O'Malley he will know what it's going to take to fix and maintain buildings ...

i keep getting angry that most of the council "speakers" don't have jobs. marie schumacher doesn't really live here. she talks city business like she's been here all her life. what sort of job does that ozzy character have? ray? do these people contribute to the community in any way? do they volunteer their time at st. francis? at st joe's? do they want to volunteer for city clean up? i doubt it.

Yes indeed welcome Vince.Yes Fay does work for the water company. Its funny though as she seems to be able to call the Sue Henry show, which is on between 9-11:45am. Hummmmmmmmmmm she's not making calls on comapny time is she?? WowI bet she would faom every so much more at the mouth if one of the people she doesn't like did that at work. Well as her mentor, little miss Jan, does the same thing. I guess she thinks its ok!! I wonder if her boss would feel the same way?

Got love this! I have to conclude after reading the thread that someone jumped on Dave Evans and Joey removed the post. Last time I checked anyone even remotely related to a public figure was fair game for this pack of rabid savages including their minor children and grandchildren, not, however, the dumbo and her, shall we say, slightly short of a full deck husband. So let me get this straight...

...Judy Gatelli's daughter and granddaughter are fodder for discussion and rumor mongering at DD, but David Evans is NOT??

This is just as good as the infamous Pilchesky "why free speech does not apply at DD" posting.

TO THOSE FROM DD THAT READ THIS BOARD (and we know you do): If you can't see the hypcrisy in Pilchesky's post, then I am sorry, you really are a bunch of retards.

It's a DD Double Standard ... if they like you ... well then your family is not open for discussio ... if they do not like you then your family is fair game we have seen this over and over ... I would list all that have had their families personally attacked but the list would take forever ... Janet's family seems to be the only ones that are not open for discussion.

Janet can miss as many meetings as she wants/needs to ... Judy misses and well all hell breaks loose ... she should give back her salary ... but Janet more than likely in the DD world deserves a raise ...

And Ag we knew how long ago that free speech is not free speech at DD ... we disagreed with them so our free speech was taken away ... but when we pull our heads out of the sand (can you hear me laughing) we can all post again ... they couldn't pay me to post on that site ... and I would never change my beliefs in order to regain posting rights ... Janet Evans Sucks ... and DD Blows!
