They will not, and here's why...

...Joe can't simply ban someone here who dares to speak something that offends the cult of Pilchesky. At DD, the moment someone tries to call him on his line of BS he can simply remove them from the DD universe. Presto...offending reasoning and logic are gone, and the DD forum remains pure of heretics.

Yes, you do get the occasional flamer in DD, but many of us think that is Joe or a minion simply stirring up the troops. And DarthArt is over there now, but mark my words: that is only temporary.

Yes, we do get the occasional DD minion posting here (the fake Janet Evans husband comes to mind), but that's an exception, not a rule. Actually I wish a few would come over here so that we could actually engage them in a discussion that didn't center around nut-house IOC (oh, I mean ICN) conspiracies, rumors of marital infidenlity or 'digging up dirt' on people.

However, in the end it's all about CONTROL. At DD Pilchesky can CONTROL the speech, and that's the way he (and his sheep) like it. Want proof? Dig up his multi-paragraph posting from a few months ago where he went to great pains (we think assisted by a certain English Teacher) to explain why free speech REALLY DOESN'T APPLY at DD. As is usually the case at DD, he harms his own arguments & credibility more than we ever could!

I did extend and invitation to Joe to post his opinions here when we first started up on Chumster.  I have not invited him that I can recall since we have been with sparklit though ... He to my knowledge has never posted  ... or maybe he did ... as IHave pointed out we did have our crazy Bob Barker poster, that could have been Joe ... (God I miss that guy ... he amused the hell out of me!) And as Ag pointed out ... we had the fake Dave Evans, and let's not forget TPP/CR and now known as thomasthetank, who by the way is reading but no longer chooses to post I guess.  Just so you all know I do check to see who is reading the site ...  I'm just nosey I guess.  But anyway there I go rambling again .................SORRY!

Joe said that we wouldn't last a week ... and well here we are ... and might I add that we are up one poster since we got here ... on Chumster we had 18 ... here we have 19 ... so I guess we can say we are more successful here ... not that it matters ... I wouldn't care if we only had 10 posters ... we can be proud of the fact that we do not spread hate for the sake of hating ... we are not making up stories just to get hits on our site ... we are respectful ... unless disrespected and then we still are somewhat respectful.  We do things through a democratic process ... even though I am the administrator and could just choose to do something I feel that this site belongs to all posters ... that's right even to our grumpy disrespctful little poster thomasthetank.

We have much to be proud of here ... we could have just given up when we were banned but we didn't and we somehow found each other ... I feel a hug coming on ... Thank you all for posting ....   ::::::::::::::::BIG HUG::::::::::::::::

I found that the ultimate offense at DD that will result in being banned is to say anything even remotely negative about Janet Almighty. Even good ol' "Anti" was banned for some slightly-non-complimentary comments about Her Longwindedness (only to resurface as "Celtic-Centrism").

That tells me that Joe is working closely with Janet. There's a good reason to never vote for Janet Evans.

How about that I didn't even notice that Anti was banned ... when did that happen ... God forbid that he should slam good old Jan ... I actually have tried to stay away from his posts because they just make me feel a rage that I have to say I hate!  He is such a racist ... but that didn't get him banned ... can you imagine that ... let whatever evil crap you want flow through your fingertips onto the screen ... and we will call it freedom of speech ... but don't insult our little ray of sunshine ... Give me a break!

No he's not banned now that I know of....but he was banned on the old Chumster board, for some infraction against Janet Evans.

Hey Aqua.....you really need to check your facts before posting on this board.  You are the kind of person that ruins the credibility of DD.  Where do you get your half truths and lies from??  Mr. Bolus DID NOT attend the election that the Jr Council held. Mr. Bolus spoke to the Jr Council about 2 weeks prior to the election.  They were having some problems, he offered to assist them. It's nice to see he's there to help these kids.  Two weeks later, they had their election at West, BEFORE the regular council meeting.  Mr. Bolus was not even there!!  He was late coming to the regular meeting.  There were NO adults in the room when the kids voted.  3 adults outside the room setting up tables for the coffee. Mr. Bolus is for the city, and for the kids...He will get my vote and I'm sure many more!!


She cracks me up ... but anyway ... hello POT ... half truths are common place at DD ... you all tell them on a daily basis ... and the kids had two elections for the presidency of the Jr. Council ... and can remember Mr. Bolus making an appearance as an irrate citizen at the regular city council meeting after Doug was not elected Jr. Council President ... and Mr. Bolus demanded that there be a re-election and then Doug won ... I remember that ... go to the Library you will find the tape of this .... so where is the half truth?

And don't you think that Mr. Bolus should have kept his nose and opinions out of this ... they should have gone to the Council to seek direction when experiencing problems as a Jr. Council ... Not BOB BOLUS!

But anyway that's not why I put you up here ... DD tells lies on a daily basis and half truths ... now if you want more respect from the DD'ers who feel differently than Joey and the rest of you wild baboons ... then show them respect as it is earned and not given away freely.

Well things are looking up I guess because I know that I have been going "Across the Hall" (as girl likes to call it) and really had not been impressed with much that I have seen over there lately ... and by not being impressed I mean only that it has made no impression on my life ... not a good one and not a bad one.

Care to hear another lie I know she will probably be hearing about?  She said a private contractor was hired to plow the area of the former CYC.  LIE< LIE< LIE>LIE>LIE!!!
My wife was stuck in rush hour traffic leaving the hospital because the 500 blk of Jefferson was closed for DPW.  That is correct, DPW had all kind of equipment there to clear the street for the big wrestling or boxing match or whatever they had national media here for.
Judy lied and once again she will get trashed.  Judy there are pictures, my wife even took some with the camera phone.
Judy lies so much she ought to retire and be a rug!  Maybe that would be something she would be good at!
The key word here kids is that they cleared the street!  Now I know that they probably should have concentrated on the neighborhood streets ... that would have been a better choice ... but the thing here is ... can you really slam Judy for the DPW clearing a STREET ... God Damn it there the go doing their job ... they are not supposed to do their job ... ARE THEY?
But just so I am clear ... I do agree that there were more pressing areas to be cleared.  And I do have to ask this question ... maybe it's sill ... maybe it's not ... but if we are plowing streets ... why are you DD loads so upset that the DPW plowed them ... a couple of weeks ago you were all bitchin about the fact that private contractors were brought in to help plow the streets ... now you want the hired ... well good god people make up you minds!

Most of you don't understand law enough to know the ridiculous spewing of wasted words this opinion and order is, but I can share with you that the primary issue before him was related to whether or not the passing of Mellow's Senate Bill 850 was unconstitutional. That's at the bottom of it all. It's never been argued in any other court anywhere, but as you read this, you'll see where he states that this lawsuit is no different than the one filed against the SRA on public trust issues. Actually, he even cites case number #2284 in his opinion, which is an appeal I have that involves the Zoning Office, not relative at all to this matter. Read it for yourself and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. This will be appealed to the Supreme Court of Pa., and rightly it should. It's a terrible opinion, analysis and decision.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe presuming to tell us we don't know enough about law to understand.  That's about the most fcked up thing he's ever posted.  Sad thing is, he probably even believes it.  He's lost--what is it now, 18? 20? more?--countless lawsuits in 3 years and WE'RE the ones who don't understand law?  If I mail you some money, will you promise to go out and buy a damn clue, old man?

The thread deals with a typical DD "I have a friend who overheard _________ say..." line of crap.  The details are not important, as you really can just substitute one name for another, but what is interesting is the claim by Empty Wallet that Joe would require 'proof' before allowing a posting to stand.  I guess Empty Wallet seems to think that actual STANDARDS exists at DD.  That or he is typing well for someone who is mentally retarded.

Empty Wallet:  Where was the 'proof' when DD sheep were claiming that the Mayor was having an affair?  Funny, but Joe didn't seem to require any when all of that was going down.  Note that's just one of many, many threads that I could point out where 'proof' seems to take a back-seat gutter-level scandal mongering.

Emily thiis behavior that is condoned at DD they love gossip and the wild rumor mill ... the "Do you know what I heard" mentality ... that's they way it is over there no proof ever asked for ... I'm guessing that if you are loving Bob Bolus so much that your Queen Janet must need a King!  If you don't like rumors I would suggest that you find a new place to post!
Jr. Council has been intimidated by Bob Bolus ... I know a few of the kids and Bob did tell them how to vote ... at least according to them he did ... and I'm going to believe what they say!
Oh and again I'm going to say this ... you cannot hold some to higher standard than the two people running DD ... if they act like two wild baboons ... the rest will follow suit ... it's like they are the parents and you all are the children learning from their example.  Janet and Joe could you please get your children under control!

Can someone please tell me why the city of scranton is paying somebody to move snow around with a bulldozer down near the ice box. i can think of 100 places that need snow removed right now never mind plowing snow that was already hauled away

Parker stated at council that he dumped snow at the ice box. I guess it's up to the city to remove it then. Double dipping by the Burke's? The get leased land for $1/year for 99 years. They owe $600,000 that hasn't had a payment made on it yet. And, the land is a KOZ.

Chris Doherty had the key to the city vault and when he got into office he just opened the door and allowed a feeding frenzy. Remember, none of these giveaways or expensive projects affects his wallet one bit. He's already very wealthy so taxes don't phase him.


The thread is still there as of this post. Joe, post the proof or remove the thread like you said you would, asswipe. 

P.S.  Still waiting for proof of the knifepoint robber arrested after the one minute response time fairy tale from yesterday, you fraud.

They are not ... I repeat are not plowing the snow in the lot at the Ice Box ... that's where they put the snow that they remove ... you know where the former DPW was ... in the empty lot ... what is probably happening ... a dumptruck comes in and Dumps the snow ... then the front end loader ... well it probably pushes it into an existing pile ... I see them doing that all of the time ...

And Paul ... Joe is a PD wannabe ... he wants to be more strict with his posters but he is all bark and no bite ... he won't remove that post unless we make a big stink about it being left up without the proof.

But they more than likely are pushing the snow around down there ... but it's only to make enough room for more snow!

The DD hypocrite of the day award is presented to the poster "Chris".  Chris exclaims that name calling is not right, but just a few sentences before referred to Sherry Fanucci as "fatso."  The he goes on to call her "lardo" and an idiot.   "Chris" calls people idiots when he uses moronic grammar such as "should of" rather than "should have."  Mr. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle.  I'll bet the DD cuckoos kept the "short bus" drivers busy when they were in school.

I was just wondering if Judy or fatso ever watched any political showdowns on CNN, MSNBC or FoxNews Channel? Politicans are critized all the time. HELLO YOU ARE A PUBLIC OFFICIAL AND YOU ARE GOING TO SUBJECT TO SCRUTINY!!!! Like I said many times before, can't take the heat get the hell out of the kitchen. I am not saying that name calling is right, but when someone gets up to that podium and asks questions and tells someone on Council that they don't agree with them and they think they made a wrong decision....well Miss Judy can't take being told that. She starts exploding, calling people liars and that she doesn't care what they think. What kind of monster did we elect??? She has no care for the residents of this town. Janet Evans should of been the President from the beginning. She sat as Vice President and did her time, she should of been offered that position...but lardo wanted control b/c she knew she was going to jump on the Doherty wagon... She makes me sick...she actually annoys me more than that other idiot on her Fanny

Can you beleive the ACLU called me and they felt the meetings are much better than they were--This man tol dme the ACLU people who have been taking notes have reported back to them in Philly, that everything here i smuch better--I nearly choked--and they STILL BELIEVE THIS. I would love to meet these people who are doing such reporting--they need a class in WHAT IS TRULY HAPPENING RIGHT BEFORE THEIR EYES!! Imagine that .... the ACLU thinks things will be better without the cameras ... is that what they are tyring to say?

I'm sure that the ACLU let Joe know exactly what they thought after he attened that meeting and talked countless people into paying the membership fee ... and then what happened ... we never heard Joe speak of them again ... why do we all think that is? Because .. and it is only my opinion ... they told Joe he was wrong? Could it be that they thought these DD'ers were crazy and wanted nothing to do with them .... again it's just speculation ... but I think that's what happend.

I remember when this whole 'ACLU coming in on a white horse to save the day' crap started, thinking to myself that all it would take would be for a bunch of 20-something lawyers to actually read the DD forum to them to realize that they were dealing with mostly a bunch of nut-bags. Now if fairness, you can't believe most of what is written at DD...it's equivalent to getting your news from some supermarket tabloid...so who knows what is really going on.

My best guess? Yeah, the ACLU did look things over and realized that Scranton is typical of what you see in many municipal governments: long on politics, short on competence, but very little in the way of intentional deceit. All that PLUS small group of zealots who are looking to use the ACLU as a blunt instrument against politicians they don't like.

In the end, this is turning out to be like most of the DD grand schemes... namely NOTHING. Think an episode of the Honeymooners, with Ralph Kramden (Janet Evans) and Ed Norton (Joe Pilchesky) always falling just short of making it.

I doubt it's him. Anyone can select any screen name she wants. Janet Evans, for example, posts as "Not A Dumb Blond" and "Flower Child". Very clearly, she's neither a flower, a child, naturally blonde, nor not dumb.
