Milo seems to be taking credit for predicting "two years ago" that the Scranton Times has finally gone to on-line subscription service. Fool! This is nothing new. The media has been doing this for years. The NYTimes, LATimes, and many other papers and magazines have had on-line pay subscriptions for years before your "bold" prediction.
You're dumb ass post patting yourself on the back is like Little Orphan Annie coming out with a song titled "See? I Told You So!" in regards to todays sunrise. It's the 21st century, idiot. Soon EVERYTHING will be on-line!
P.S., Milo. Circulation is not the same as subscription. Circulation is how many papers you move. Subscription is how many people are paying for it. In a way, it's kind of like the old man's site. He claims a membership of 530, but there are only about 7 of you who actually post. In essence, he has a subscription of 7, but a circulation of 530. It's a simple difference, so naturally I didn't expect you to understand it right away. One more dent in armor of the Pilchesky Spin Factory.
(Edited to for clarification. The last paragraph is aimed at our man, Elmo.)
Paul you crack me up ... OMG! Anyway you could say that the papers that are delivered to the schools are subscribers ... because the School District pays for these papers ... so therefore are they not subscriptions???? Just wondering ... and in case you are wondering ... they are used in School Libraries and High School History classes for Current Events! So they do have a purpose in schools.
Thank you for pointing out the difference ... and I would bet that they are starting to charge because they heard about all of those DD'ers who were taking advantage of the free ride all of this time (just kidding) ...

By the way Paul ... I love the name you have given Milo ... Elmo ... I can't stop laughing.

The P.S. was geared towards Milo. I'll edit the post to make that more clear. I can tell that the posters here get the difference between subscription and circulation. I figured I'd try and explain it for Milo and Grandma's benefit.
I'm sure the overal calm demeanor and reasoning used over here is like salt to those slugs, and they don't even read our stuff. Oh well, you can lead a gifthorse to water, but you can't look into his mouth.
I agree that Elmo is perfect for Milo...it fits in a strange sort of way. As for the DD folks reading stuff here, I have a sneaking suspicion that some do...including Elmo. He probably likes the attention. As for our other favorite Granma, I don't think PD would be her cup of tea. Too many sentences with subjects AND verbs.
