Reading the anti-capitalist and anti-authority rants of "Antisystemicmovements" led me to believe that he could possibly be Shotko.... but now I'm not so sure, since "Anti" doesn't appear as fixated on Bush and the republicans as Shotko is. There is however, a possibility that occasional DD poster "Incendiary1" is Shotko.....he/she is extremely obsessed with Bush and the republicans.
If I am remembering right ... Kurt Shotko is the guy who used to hold protest at the Lackawanna County Courthouse everyday ... he used to sit in the grass on the North Washington Avenue side of the Courthouse with his signs ... they were about Joe Camel poisoning our children ... and about Federal Gorvernment ... and Local Government ... he used to have about 50 - 60 different signs of protest ... he also ran for the position of Home Rule Charter Commissioner years ago ... geez I think it was about 8 or 9 years ago ... I am sure he is one of the looney toons at DD ... but I don't think that he is Antisystemicmovements ... I do think that is Jim B. Davis ... but I don't know for sure ... it sure sounds like Jim though. But Kurt could definetly be Incendiary1 ... on that I will agree... at least that does sound like the past rants of Kurt.

Yes, I do recall.... I remember seeing his signs, one said something about how Republicans deal deadly drugs because of their support of Big Tobacco, and another called for legalization of drugs. I can't understand why he thinks cigarettes are evil, but that we should legalize cocaine and heroin. Well, you know what they say about opinions....
That's right I forgot about the ones asking that drugs be legalized ... he was somewhat of a nut in the downtown ... he sat in the grass with a guitar and sang protest songs and harrassed the people passing by ... he was something ... he was there everyday ... I often wondered what he would have been like had he exerted just half the energy to working a days work that he put into his protest ... what would his life had been like .... in a way Joey P. is much like Kurt Shotko ... think about it ... hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I think there is one big difference between Shotko and Pilchesky...MEAN. I've heard Shotko's rants on WILK and seen his signs...he is extreme, but in a 'tree-hugger' kind of way. I don't see the guy as being very mean-spirited. Our pal Pilchesky is just a bitter old man....mean to the core.

Shotko is passionette about what he believes in, but will talk to you for hours if you like in a vivil manner. He's calm, crazy, and actually has a few good points. His rants are directed toward Bush and the Republicans. You can through a dart and hit someone who shares some of his feelings. Not so easy for JP and his gang.
I wasn't trying to say he's mean Ag ... I was just saying that I remember his signs ... I have to say that Art is right .... he was and I am sure he still is very passionate about his cause(s). He used to attend the Council meetings but as I remember he was actually kind of polite ... I don't think he was disrespectful. Not that I recall anyway.

He was vocal, visible, controversial yet harmless. Kind of a hippy throwback - not an angry prick who likes to pick on people.
Shotko was an odd dude, I used to debate with him outside the courthouse just for fun. He knew he wasn't everyone's cup of tea. Funny, I never heard him or one of his followers talking about kicking ass or anything remotely violent.
All things being equal, I'd take a dozen Shotko's over one Pilchesky any day of the week.
I remember the signs he used to hold outside the high schools, very crazy stuff. I agree though, he is harmless, weird, crazy and waaaaaaaaaay out there, but harmless. Joey? Harmless is the last word I would use to describe him. Weird, crazy, way out there all of that I could say and more, but harmless? No way.
Lus, no implication of my part that you were saying he was mean...none at all. As I noted, he seems more like a 'tree-hugger' than a DD type. Oh, and I don't mean to imply that being a 'tree-hugger' is bad. In fact, I think the world would be a better place if we could replace some, for example, Washington DC lobbyists with tree-huggers.
By the way, didn't he also have a frame (as in picture) business somewhere?
