Some of those people over there just need an extra little something to bitch about every day because their lives are JUST TOO PERFECT.  They find it fascinating to pick as the littlest thing until it turns into a festering scab.  They'll be filing lawsuites (a la grandma) as soon as they've shovelled themselves out.

You know what would definitely help matters immensely?? Maybe Joe should sell the vette and the 'hog' and invest in a truck with a snow plow.  Then he can go out and actually do some good and help some of the people he claims need him oh so desperately.  Right now, those starving little old ladies who just got their tax bills need Pilcheski with a shovel in his hand a little more than they need him and his "heretofores" and "notwithstandings".

Granma file a lawsuit? I'd LOVE to read that complaint. Better yet, I'd love to be a fly on the wall as the law clerks read that complaint. Can you imagine? Maybe we should compile an 'English to Granma/Granma to English' dictionary for them, as a public service.

As for Pilchesky selling his 'vette and hog, you might as well ask him to sell his testicles, as I am sure the previously mentioned toys provide him with at least as much of his manhood as the testosterone-producing orbs do. I mean how is he supposed to retain his status as an well-known 'babe magnet' without the fancy rides?

I came across this article about a public official whose sentence for dealing cocaine out of city hall was increased because the judge failed to observe mandatory sentencing guidelines. It made me think about the conviction of tom Gilhooley, the former prison warden, and what the mandatory sentence should have been for his crimes.

Now I'm not saying that it was right for Tom Gilhooley to use prisoners and make them do work ... hmmm when I put it that way it just does not sound all that bad ... but anyway ... do we really think that making prisoners work is equal to being a drug dealer ... is that what Researcher is trying to say here ... isn't it bad enough that this man lost his job .... now has a criminal record ... now we want to make him go to jail like a drug dealer ... and why because he made the prisoners work ... I just don't see the comparison so of the two crimes.  Help me to see it and then I might agree that prison should have been in Gilhooley's sentence.

Hey girl you can request the lawsuite at the Hilton ... it's lovely ... a nice view and it has a jacuzzi ... check it out!  Come to think of it they may have a lawsuite at the Raddison also ... just in case it's booked at the Hilton!

Yes, we have Decent well kept safe neighborhoods and streets ... and if you don't live in a safe neighborhood take action form a neighborhood watch group and make a difference ... all the police in the world won't help if you the neighborhood do nothing ... if you don't give a damn and take the it's not my job attitude.  It is our job to make sure that the streets are safe for our children and grandchildren ...
 We do have public officials that care ... Judy Gatelli and the Mayor ... and I think they stated Bill Courtright did go out and do a ride along with the DPW ... so there are a few who cared ... where exactly was Janet Evans?  Unless it's fun ... she's not going to do it ... wake up and see her for what she is ... a phony self centered ego maniac. 
 And that last statement ... who is it that is moving in that you are so upset about?  I am just wondering!  And what exactly is it that it is saying?

I hope someday we can tell people come here to live. But that won't be untill Doherty is not in charge. And then again it will be a long time , we still have many years to pay the debt that Doherty got us into.

The key point you made is the part about paying for his actions for years to come. That will be DOherty's true and lasting legacy. It's bad now,  but his debt will continue to ravage this community for many years after he's gone. Paying millions per year for many years to pay DOwn his debt will continue to hamper the next few mayors from cleaning up crime, cleaning up neighborhoods and cleaning up budgets. Because of him, the next few mayors, even if they have good intentions, will have much less to spend on what's important to their constituents. He'll leave a legacy of continued decline, continued budget deficits, continued crime problems, continued blight and continued decline of the tax base. But hey, maybe we'll have a little pride left to get us through it.
