The moosic School Board is quite the contentious little organization, according to a phone call I got today regarding a person who was promised a job through Tim LaVelle, a recently elected director. LaVelle is under the belief that he can unilaterally hire people in the Moosic School District without legal process. He goes as far as telling the Superintendent who the new hires are going to be. Well, it doesn't work that way, as Mr. LaVelle is finding out. Mr. LaVelle goes as far as putting his "hiring" directives in writing.

Mr. LaVelle is a politically aggressive, arrogant, self-centered, pompus, ego-drunk numbnut who prefers to bully his agenda down the throats of others. He doesn't get very far with it, however. He also happens to be among the minority board members, mainly because his ideals and convictions are self-serving in an attempt to get as many jobs as possible for his friends.

It's time to take the time to observe what goes on with Mr. LaVelle and the rest of the Moosic School board. In a very short time, Mr. LaVelle has acquired a very controversial reputation as a politician.
