This collection of potential constituents, however small, should not be regarded as "hostile territory."

She was being questioned about her stances on certain issues, and her commitment to running was called out as well. If that warrants comparisons to Nazis and "Rowanda" (sic), then perhaps the accusation of immaturity is deserved until proven otherwise.

I think any situation where one isn't sure of the response can be construed as "hostile territory".  We really never got the debate off the ground, though.  Maybe soon.

WOW...selective reading.  You folks take pokes  "at cross" the hall, but you are just about as down and dirty!  Let me guess, you don't curse though!  The comments about Nazism was damn well pretty clear, it was relating to the unnecessary sarcasms relating to being disabled.  Oh wait, you folks only have problems with sexuality, racism, and what you perceive as attacks on innocent family members. Right?   Cheap shots at the disabled and I bet fat people is ok?  Give me a break.

Your screen name is meant as a joke right?  I can not take you seriously when you assign yourself a name and type in a completely polar oppisite direction.  Sorry the only ass I kiss is my husband's.  Since you wrote it I thought I would clear it up, by the way, I have also been known to bite his ass on occasion too!

Drama Queen, sorry I leave that to men like you! GN

Is this gal for real?  You melt down faster than a 4 year old. I suggest strongly that you take a breath, grow up and get over yourself.  Busting your ass is probably as "down and dirty" as looking in peoples windows, calling a reporter the n-word, and discussing the paternity of a minor child....ya almost..... wow you have inflated opinion of yourself.   Keep talking you are certainly doing your self a lot of good...really! believe me!

Gal?  LOl, haven't been called that since I lived in Texas, and did not like it then either.  Melt down, where, you really must have me confused with ohhh, I don't know yourself?  Maybe?

Looking in peoples windows, calling a reporter the N word?  What are you talking about?  Me, never did any of that, first one is illegal and likely to get a person shot, the second one, only sorry I detest my the word.  Trash is my favorite, it cuts across all socioeconomic barriers.   Paternity of a minor child?  Really?  Not I do not have an inflated opinion of my self, I am not conceited by any stretch, although I am convinced on some things.

Do yourself a favor. Go about your business and pray if you run for office the first question asked to you by the media isn't about announcing your desire to run on dd.com.

Take a look around. There is currently no elected official I can point to that posts anything on that site or admits to reading it. Glen Cashuric is the closest thing dd.com has to an elected official. He ran for office, ran a good campaign but lost. His experience in that cesspool is the exception, not the rule. Even with his level headed posts they turned on him in a minute. No good can come out of you hanging out over there.

If you want to be taken seriously delete your account at dd.com and spend your time talking to real voters in real numbers at real venues. That site does not represent the average voter, home owner, tax payer, parent, student, community activist or truth seeker. Do some math. Look at the number of members, the number of posts and the length of time the site has been active and you'll understand how small an audience you have over there.

Add demented to small and there you have it. DD.com. If your target demo for election is disenfranchised city union workers, you've found a home.

Remember. The puppet master over there was city city garbage man who was fired. What more do you need to know? Maybe some members here can help answer this question; in the past 40 years about how many city union workers do you think have been fired? My guess is about a dozen-and that includes the people convicted of crimes. You have to try pretty hard to get fired from a union job on the city of Scranton. That's your boy Pilchesky. Cream of the crop.

While I truly appreciate your advice, the fact that no current elected official is on DD is not really a reason for me not to post there.  My former home township, earned the infamous nickname Crookhaven (Brookhaven is the real name), the corruption in my former hometown pales compared to what I fear is going on in Lackawanna county.

As far as being fired from the city, I am amazed to hear he ever worked for the city!!  My husbands family of origin goes back more then a hundred years in this area, I do not think anyone in either branches of his family tree was EVER employed by the city past the job corp program. Miners, yes, farmers, yes, Chamberlin, yes...city????  I joined DD BEFORE I moved here because of the Clear and Obvious BIAS of the TT.  I will not be leaving DD anytime soon.  If people condemn me for the company I keep so be it.  But I will not cut ties to a site or people, because others disagree, do not like or have issues with them.  When I have issues, disagree or don't like them is when I will cut those ties.

Again, thank you for your input.  Have a great evening.

No way Art...Joe Pilchesky is a community activist!!

Look at all the court cases he has won "for the people"!!

Look at his record in getting people elected!!  He is a political king maker!!

Joe is a model of civic responsibility!!  He regularly votes and pays all of this taxes!!

DD.com has hundreds of posters and gets tens of thousands of daily hits!!

Joe is a devoted family man who only wanted to build a ramp for his father-in-law (and was NOT running an illegal business out of his garage)!!

Like Jesus, Joe was just a simple carpenter!!

Joe loves children so much that he once sued an evil Little League!!

[note that I'd continue on this path but I'm currently laughing so hard that I've wet my pants]

You claim to listen more than you talk well maybe you should read more than you post.....if you payed attention to the website you defend and the as$hole you profess to admire,  you would know that Agam is making fun of a comparison Joeyboy makes about himself all the time....and his minions have copied the behavior. In fact if you check, one of Joeyboy's alter ego screen name over there is "if I were just a carpenter" (or something very close to that).....Your blind defense of that website and Joeyboy is making you look like fool. You profess to admire a person you clearly know nothing about and you defend a website that you have no clue what has been written on it. Lynn if you intend to be taken serious ....wake up and get a clue.

OK, good luck with that over there, because they WILL judge and condemn you for the company you keep.  Especially if you decide to make a serious run at public office.  One that lasts loner than a quart of milk.

Wow...comparing someone to Jesus is truly in poor taste.
Only here, but not there, though, right?  Pilchesky does it on a daily basis.  Double standard much?

I only came here because my acquaintance Glenn suggested it.  I have been on Dd for about 3 years.  I have had debates, arguments, swipes and out right fu contests with posters over there.  You folks over here, are truly in your own unique league.  I have
ALWAYS, stood my ground, stated MY position, contributed MY thoughts, and shared MY opinions.  I do not take kindly to strangers thinking they know me by posts on the Internet in less then a week.  So I will bid you all farewell.  Regardless of my future choices they will be my own made in conjunction with my family, and not strangers on message boards.  Wishing you all success in your lives and it is wonderful to see that people are so passionate about their hometown, their beliefs , and their way of life.  Thank you.

I for one am truley sorry that you feel you are not able to post here.  You are someone who speaks their mind and so are the posters here that is why we gathered together here because Joe did not let us speak our minds and we were not willing to fall in line and worship Joe ... so here we are.

I think that some of these people feel they know you because they have been reading your (loveinbloom) posts for all of the three years and we have also, some of us, been watching you speak at council meetings ... one tends to think they know what you are all about by the exposure that we have had to you.

I hope that you begin to read DD with your eyes wide open and your mind as well, and I hope that you feel free if someone makes a post that you totally disagree with feel free enough to speak your mind to them about it even if it means that you risk being banned from the site.

As far as you never judging ... you did judge Tommy Gilbride ... his bloodwork did not come back yet ... innocent until proven guilty ... ever hear of that ... you judged him for taking even one drink because you would never do such a thing.  Anyway I don't want to argue with you ... but we all tend to be judgemental some of us admit it and then there are those who gossip and gossip and gossip ... pass a judgement because they feel it what everyone wants to hear and then they deny ... the proof of your judgement of others .... is in the pages of DD ... you do it all of the time ... you just won't judge Joe Pilchesky, his wife, or any of the posters at DD.  We call that the DD double standard.

Why does this remind me of Lynn when she was asked questions like.....don't you think calling a someone the N-word is wrong and do you believe tormenting public officials is the same as scrutinizing them?  Thank heavens we didn't ask her anything hard..... like can you do simple math?

Wow.

So I tell her that she should think twice about being associated with dd.com and she quits this board? WTF?

So many things wrong with her take on things. Somehow we're the nuts, dd.com offers an alternative to the Scranton Times (and implied less bias), using the Jesus phrase was offensive to her and she somehow doesn't realize that she will be judged for the company she keeps.

The Web site is run by a convicted felon and has been the home of accusations regarding abortion, children out of wedlock, crime, incest, etc. - most of which are unfounded. You can, should and will be judged by the company you keep. Politics 101. What am I missing?

The site is not about corruption. The site is about saying anything you want about anyone in the public arena and never being held accountable by anyone except a convicted felon. She's got my vote though. Clearly critical thinking and analyzing the written word are strong suits. Scranton needs Lynn Bloom and the skill set she brings to the table.

Wow.

Oh yeah, one more thing Lynn...if you want to find out what free speech in the world of Joe Pilchesky is all about mention this site in one of your posts. You'll be banned faster than Joe can file a bogus lawsuit-which is pretty damn fast.

The guy who runs Doherty Deceit bans people for acknowledging Pilchesky Deceit. Can you say spineless hypocrite blow hard?See you soon.

She has changed her mind and has decided that she won't be running this time but sometime in the near future she will make a run for the office of School Director.

I don't mean to be judgemental but I don't think she will make it because she couldn't take the questions of 3 or 4 of our posters ... she decided that she would drop. How will she react if elected ... will she drop when asked the tough questions?

Glenn suggested I come back here to post, he is a smart guy and I usually listen to him so here I am.  I did not decide to stop posting because I wanted to avoid questions, hide, be difficult or as the last and most recent post thread started in my honor (btw, thanks for thinking of me in my absence) am as stupid as a box of rocks.  I have limited time, energy, and I think I said, pending medical issues.

I am willing disclosing the two most pressing ones, not for sympathy but for understanding and possibly a bit of leeway in responding to posts.  I have bladder surgery scheduled for 2/24 for a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. It is a very painful and annoying condition.  For women reading, the pain is equal to labor, for men, think the worst kidney stone possible.  I have be being treated for it for over a year and have had this condition for approximately 2 years.  The second problem I am having is severe carpal tunnel in my right hand.  I already had surgery done on my left for it, back in 2008 and have needed to have my right hand done since then.  Unfortunately, due to other medical conditions, this has taken a back seat.  Since I am no longer gainful employed, the use of a splint, and limiting computer work has and must suffice until the surgery.

I only moved here in June of 2007, I know the whole doomer thing started before that.  I know it has something to do with t-shirts and city council, but never got the whole story because quite frankly, I think it is immature and not that interesting to me.  This is the same reason I never questioned what the Parker House is/was and who the Parker House boys are.

So here I am and I guess let the bashing continue.
