Times has won a Commonwealth Court decision against Yankees regarding an RTK regarding concessionaire contracts
 Printer Friendly

Yankess lose RTK battle in Commonwealth Court against the Times-Tribune. CLICK HERE to see the Court's opinion. The Times wanted the bids for the concessionaire contracts for the stadium.  The Yankees refused to surrender them claiming it is not a government function. The Yankess appeal to the Office of Open Records and lost. The Yankees then appealed to Common Pleas Court, which agreed with the OOR and ordered the Yankees to produce the documents. The Yankees then appealed to Commonwealth Court and lost.

The Yankees can ask the Supreme Court to hear it within the next 30 days, but while an appeal from Common Pleas Court to Commonwealth is a right at law, an appeal to the Supreme Court is not. In other words, you can file the appeal to the Supreme Court, but unless you can convice that Court that Commonwealth committed an error of law or abused its discretion, it can deny the appeal.

Yep, if anyone around town knows a thing or two about numerous appeals going absolutely nowhere, you can be sure their last name is Pilchesky.
