How about her...another fine upstanding scranton citizen posting on a website owned and operated by a dirtball who calls Stacy Brown the "n" word.....engages in all kinds of filth from graphic language to pictures to down right soft porn in my opinion...who's administrator has more screen names than Sybil had personalities...who's wife is a dirtball who steals from her own dead father while throwing stones at others from her own glass house..what can this mean???......WAY TO GO MARIE!!

Read the "comments section" on the Scranton Times website before you draw such a broad conclusion.  Marie Schumacher honestly cares about good government, and she is not afraid to confront the political class when she disagrees.

I strongly disagree.  She does not "hang around" with Joe Pilchesky, and does not have any of those traits.  She posts on the website either (a) in an information-providing capacity or (b) to clarify when someone has posted something which is factually incorrect.

Assigning her moral traits which do not exist is unfair.

Really??! Would you think the same thing if she or any one of us was posting on a white supremacist web-page?? Information posting or not she now has her name (as do you) associated with a dirtball, racist, thief and God only knows what else those two are collectively or individually.  Again nice try... but in my opinion she is officially a dirtball :)) In addition I find it strange that you are envoking the cry of "unfair" over such a minor post and yet blithely go about posting across the hall in the same thread as a picture of a girl accused ( no evidence mind you, just accused) of having an affair with Doherty....without a single comment denouncing it .....then you accuse us of being unfair....WOW!

I agree 1000% Glen. Therefore to prove your theory and save face, I strongly suggest you and Marie join and post to any one of the sites which have been flagged by the Southern Poverty Law Center, just to prove to us that you're not associated with the individuals who also belong and post to these sites. I highly doubt you will, but Please prove me wrong.

Hey Glenn if Marie only posts for the reasons you listed, how come I didn't see any posts declaring Missy Jan  "factually incorrect" when she stated she didn't know Joey the Pussy despite having him over for dinner?  I didn't see her posting anything informational about the evil of racism after Joey the Pussy called Stacy Brown the "n" word....hummmmmmm weird...  Personally I think I was right from the beginning....she is just another dirtball.

I read this thread and am wondering why Marie put this up in that particular thread ... seems as though that post was totally ignored by all posters.

And I know who had the party at the Polish Club for Doherty that they are talking about and it was not any of the named people ... and it was not DPW people ... it was SSA people who put that party on.  They just love to make crap up!

Well Glenn and of course Marie....apparently last year miss factually correct flipped out over council going on hiatus....funny she hasn't make a sound about council bailing out for August this year and accepting their paycheck for nothing as well....uh Marie where are you??

If you watched the meeting on Tuesday, you would have noticed that she called out the council (and Nancy Krake) for their vocal opposition (in 2008 and 2009) to the NCC penalties and then subsequent silence on the issue in 2010.

She received "the glare".

I don't believe GC is a fan of Evans. At least not Councilwoman Evans. His interactions with her on an outside of Council level are really none of my concern, but be fair. He's been consistently critical of her supermajority actions.

This is where the apologist get separated from the realists.

If Ms Shumacher did indeed criticize konsil for the NCC penalties, then good for her.  I suspect though that the reality of the situation is that Evans & her poodles realize that they can't cut ANY REVENUE from ANY SOURCE as they struggle to work math magic on their version of the next budget. 

NCC is just the tip of the iceberg:  it's a hell of a lot eaiser to CLAIM that Mayor Doherty is paying about 30 bizillion dollars out to "crony consultants" and "crony raises" that can then just be cut to:

a) Balance the budget
b) Cut taxes
c) Reward faithful union members with raises and back pay

than it is to face the reality that there just isn't enough money to go around, not without making major changes to how Scranton delivers services.  To the later:  Janet Evans & Poodles just aren't that smart.

Reality is a bitch.  And pandering only takes you so far.

I watched the meeting and saw Marie speak and Glenn is right she did speak out about NCC and the fact that Nancy Krake spoke week after week about that issue ... it all came about when Janet pretty much told Marie that they had made the decision on the SAPA plan and that they were tired of revisiting the issue. With that Marie then spoke about how Mrs. Krake came to the podium week after week for more than a year speaking out about NCC ... she then said that the Council was supposed to do something about NCC yet they don't even discuss it anymore ... then Glenn is right ... Marie got the Glare ... Janet gave a few people the glare Tuesday evening. But to be fair to IHave Marie did not ask them anything about taking a hiatias ... or if they were going to be paid for the Month of August and the first week of September.

By the way Lee Morgan gets that same glare every week ...

I have noticed that people that agree with Janet are allowed to speak and speak and speak ... but once they begin criticize her ... well then comes the ever so polite "Thank you" which is the signal to sit down and shut up.
