which is perplexing since he was fighting to save some of the DPW workers jobs last year when the sitting council tried to open up and amend the budget mid-stream. anyone remember that?
it seems as if this super duper majority is about to implode. they're running scared and also running out of people to blame for it.
i watched the comment portion of the sitcom last night and was struck by Joyce and the blond writing things to each other during the meeting. in front of everyone. as if anyone didn't believe that she censors their comments anyway, you now made it public for everyone to see.
wondered if anyone remember that PEL and DCED told us last summer that there would be a deficit. so what do they do??? they make budget cuts (only to people that might like doherty,) they reinstate all the police and fire positions suggested for cutting, overestimate revenue and lower taxes. don't they realize that if they just left the spending cuts in place, we might be in a better position? the funny part too, is that they created two new, non-union positions in the city clerk's office and gave that whiny mouse a big fat raise. none of this exercise makes sense and guess what? it's not doherty's budget, it's theirs.
can anyone weigh in also about janet not having health benefits except for her very serious injuries??? if her position is still open and it has not been decided whether she is disabled, wouldn't the district still have to carry her health benefits?
She has benefits, Dave probably does not have them ... but I am certain that she must be carried on the health insurance by law. Unless they changed that law. I have never been on workman's comp so I guess I don't really know. I also remember David coming here and saying that she was not on comp and that she didn't apply for comp ... so we know they are nothing but a family of liars.

I'm not an expert at health benefits but I'd be willing to bet that they can't strip that from her simply because she is still techncially an employee of the district. Doing so would be unfair (as they would be treating one employee different than another). Terminating her employment while out on whatever status she is on would be paramount to retaliation for filing the disability claim, so as long as this thing is pinging around the legal system I'll bet that she continues to receive benefits.
The consolation prize? The SSD's basic health benefits sucks. Dental is still pretty good, but the major medical coverage isn't all that great.

No it's not good at all AG ... just my opinion ... but I guess if you have nothing then it is much better than having nothing at all.

she stated from the dais that she is only covered for her injuries and that if she were to get sick, she would have no coverage. what????? there are so many people that have no coverage or have to pay for their coverage or can't pay for their coverage and that statement, in my opinion, is a bold-faced lie. keep it going, you're making a complete horse's-arse of yourself!!!
Did her meeting and photo op with Chris Doherty send her over the edge? Why wasn't she at the latest 'konsil' meeting? Oh, and by the way, we need to get Ray Lyman back to the meedins - people are beginning to forget who he is.
