There is much discussion going on at DD concerning the Chief Nurse position with the SSD. I just want to say this ... it is a good possibility that Judy Gatelli could be the Chief Nurse ... should she choose to bid the position. This position is not a board appointed position it is a Union position ... now should Judy Gatelli be the most senior bidder for the position it will not matter who wants her and who does not ... she will get the position.
All of the discussion about this position hinging on her winning a council seat is bull$hit ... and nothing more. Just another prime example of how the kids across the hall make up $hit and present it as fact. They have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. If this were not a Union position Rosemary Boland would not be pushing to have it filled! FACT!

I don't know that she does want the position and I do not know that she doesn't ... however she did bid it when Patty Shrekengast did and Patty got the position because she was the most senior bidder. Now does Judy still want this position ... I would think yes ... but I don't know that to be a fact. And I don't think it would matter if she retained her seat on council or not ... what does that have to do with it? Its a job much the same as she is doing now only difference is ... she would be the Cheif Nurse and her duties would include assigning the nurses to positions along with the Matrons and Medical Clerks ... ordering supplies ... but she would not be working a longer year ... nor would she be working a longer day ...so how would one effect the other?

to be honest i know little about what it is she does now, only shes a nurse in the district. it would seem being the head nurse or in charge would take up alot of her time. considering for her to get re-elected its going to take a huge push due to her current standing, not being overly popular, so i figured she may not currently want the responsibilty while being at the crossroads of her political life........
It's not something that she wouldn't be able to handle. Like I said it does not involve a longer work year or even a longer work day ... and God help me for saying this if Patty Shrekengast could handle it ... anyone could.

At DD they are up in a lather about the possibility of Judy Gatelli getting the Chief Nurse position...the decision for which is based on seniority anyway...but yet their savior Janet Evans used her School Board Director position to get a full-time teaching position in the same District.

oh god true story, when i was in high school , senior year 2003 a friend and i moved almost everything Ms.Shrekengast owns (bird baths, fridges and a stove) out of the basement of her clarks summit home, about 6 hours in all, all the while shes telling us tales of the trips her and her husband would take, so we assumed wed get paid rather well? not at all $15 and a jar of home made spaghetti sauce! lol what a lady...........
