Wait, didn't Pilchesky PREDICT that Gary DiBileo would win in a landslide...anywhere from 8 to 15 points???? And of course Joe & other toadies were citing all these polls showing a landslide. Now why would I ever think that? Oh, I remember, it was posts like these...

It's official: DiBileo by 8+ points as Doherty gets pounded in the debate on his abysmal record. Issues, issues and more issues. What you say often means as much as how you say it. The future of this city is on the line. Every word will have an impact on the voters. Hesitating, talking too fast, talking too low, repeating yourself, not having your facts to back up your allegations and saying "if I'm elected" too many times will result in low scores.
Who might have a bomb to drop? Will it really be a bomb, or will the candidate bomb by sounding like a cry baby if the bomb isn't worthy of the moment?
Definition of a political bomb: Something relevant to the economy and/or the best interests of the people and/or the administration of current government to the detriment of the people.
It's not related to trivial things that don't matter now with the election being a week out. We already know our roads need paving. We already know ECTV hijacked 61. We already know the mayor had nothing to do with Providence Square, the E. Market St. Bridge, E. Mountain Road Project and the new bridge on Lackawanna Ave. Sign wars are a non-issue now.
These three men are applying for a job. It helps a little to say why the other guy will suck at the job, but seriously, if any of them want the best chance at getting the job, the voters are looking for a leader going into the future. What will that candidate do to get us out of distressed status and how will he do it? And, using facts and figures as a basis.
Doherty should dead in the water in this debate, unless the other candidates get caught up in non-issue discussions. If you want to take someone else's job, you have to convince the voters on why you should have it.
Most women don't leave their husbands until they've found something better. This city won't elect a new mayor unless he's a better choice. It's that simple.

Doherty flyers #9 and #10 - negative yawners from a candidate a solid 8 points down It's a cute concept, but hardly impacting, since we've already heard from DiBileo at the debate regarding how he'll handle city government.
At any rate, here is the latest from Camp Desperate Doherty. As in still down a solid 8 points with nothing left to swing any momentum his way. Certainly, this struggle for credibility won't do anything but make the 8 points 9 or 10 points.

TOPIC: Dibileo's flyer/Contract with the citizens will have Doherty down by 15 points by Monday.
If I remember correctly there was screaming, wailing, and the gnashing of teeth over the last council appointment. I certainly hope this new "sainted version" of council remembers that they need to have open interviews. Naturally, Joeyboy will hand Missy Janet the criteria she will follow to vet the candidates while the legion of doom headed by foaming Fay moderates the process. . This will be fun!!
Gary already knows the secret handshake and whose ass to kiss. It was one thing to be sitting high and mighty at center stage, but is Dibilio going to subject himself to playing second- third- or fourth-fiddle to that blonde gasbag for any length of time.
Amazing, he's still saying he ended Chris Doherty's political career. What exactly is this guy on? Doherty, ummm, WON!!!!! And, I had this thought, what if say Judy Gatelli runs a write-in for the general election and win. And then with Gatelli and McGoff and Evans and say Rogan, it means the mayor again would get to pick the council replacement and what if say he picks SHERRY NEALON FANUCCI!!!!! Now, you know I lived in Hollywood because who else could come up with a script like that???? It would be still yet another blow to the PUKEboy who soon loses his partner for 2 to 7 years! As Dave Evans says, you can't make this %@&! up
Let pilcheski and his ilk yammer on and on about their 'super'majority and how they'll RULE council. Keep it up fellas, and you'll have the good people of Scranton casting votes in a write-in campaign for Gatelli. Hell , they might even prefer to have The Fanuch back in there, before they'll vote that bunch into the Council seats.
1. If they have any savvy whatsoever, the council speakers will quickly and quietly start dialing it down, from, say, ten to one-point-two.
2. The mayor needs a foil as much as any new council majority does. I can't see any respectable write-in candidate appearing with his blessing, much less Judy Gatelli. The woman needs some time off from elective politics (but not government), and I doubt she even wants to be back in there for another four years. It isn't her.
3. If anybody even hinted that Sherry Fanucci had a chance of being appointed for another two years on council, the voters would write in a different choice for mayor.
4. Should this council "supermajority" emerge victorious, the mayor will benefit. He knows this.
5. Gary DiBileo may know May's secret handshake, but he doesn't know November's.
I agree about Judy...she's genuinely a good egg and deserves a vacation from the bull$hit that is Scranton politics in the current environment.
As for Gary...well I think he and Christine should take a nice long vacation to maybe Myrtle Beach. He can then come back and sell insurance...he's good at it...and besides, most Americans are under-insured anyway. Oh, and stay out of political office.

From trying to look at the voting numbers from election day, and trying to make any sense of them, I have to believe that the Janet Evans faction was not trusting in Gary Debileo, telling her people to vote for the Mayor, while pushing her Council Team across the finish line.
This will either be very smart of her, or it might just be the downfall of her.. Time will Tell....

Oh I have no problem trouble believing that at all. That egomaniac would never willfully share the limelight with anyone. Besides Gary is a wishy washy pushover, not her kind of man at all. She like them unattainable, unavailable, and unbreakable...more like the current Mayor. If I were him I would be afraid.
