I just have to know what you think...... I was having breakfast when the "I built the world" commercial by Mayor Doherty came on.
It seems to me...(but I have been worng before) that HE is taking credit for the medical school. Gotta love the hard hat...and the mayor telling me abouth health care and blah blah blah.
My OPionon he is despreately seeking his third term.......
I thought the commercial that Dibileo had last time with the old lady locking her door from the gangs was bad....least he wasn't taking credit for something HE didn't do.
Mellow yellow got the schoold here not Doherty...what a joke!!
I don't have an opinion on it as I did not see it. I really have not seen any ads on TV ... then again I don't watch a lot of TV so how would I see them. But if and when I see it Doomers I'll let you know what I think.

I've seen the commercial Doomers, and it is a bit of a reach. However, in the world of Scranton politics, it's not that much of a reach. It's akin to Janet Tomko Evans running as "for the people", yet she has yet to have initiated a single piece of legislation "for the people" that ever became law. I know, I know, evil Irish conspiracy and all...
As for Senator Mellow, well I have an extremely low opinion of the man. In fact, giving him credit for the Medical School in my mind is a bit of a reach. Bob Mellow is skilled at three things:
Getting himself re-elected.
Spending our money (the Bob Mellow Theater at Lackawanna College should be called the "Taxpayer Theater"...we paid for it, Bob Mellow didn't).
Increasing his personal income via various BofD assignments.
To put this in perspective though, wait for the debate where Gary DiBileo will simultaneously claim to be for the taxpayers and for the union members; in fact, if elected he will negotiate with the shrewdness that George W Bush demonstrated...when he was head of the Texas Rangers. Gary will claim to end "crony" hiring while he at the same time lines up jobs for his supporters.
Just more typical Scranton politics.

I don't watch much TV, although my family now has me hooked on NCIS re-runs.
Anyway, there is only one show I actually try to catch when it airs, and that's The Office. Great show. I have the first two seasons on DVD if you (Lus, IHave) want to catch up on it.
