I thought that we needed a little fun around here ... so here is your mission ... find the dumbest DD post copy it and paste it up here. Highlight for everyone why you feel that you found the dumbest post on DD. It's a game and not intended to be serious so please lets have no fighting in this thread.
Happy Hunting! I have found mine and yes you guessed it ... Pappa Pilchesky himself wrote it.
Easter officially marks the beginning of the end for both Gatelli and Fanucci. Doherty's zoo distraction was horribly timed for before easter when animals are so much a part of the holiday. What is that man thinking as parents buy chocolate in the shape of all kinds of animals? Dreadfully stupid, but he's always been dreadfully stupid. (For me the highlighted area of this post makes it really stupid ... Does Joe really think that as the parents are purchasing chocolate rabbits that the zoo will be on their mind ... hmmmmm.) Back to the two loyalists of everything corrupt in the Doherty Administration. Fanucci will have done her job if she gathers 2000 - 2200 votes, (that's asking a lot) properly thinning out the voting pool, but not nearly having any impact on this race. Gatelli gets clobbered, finishes 4th and not maybe not even that.
It's a sprint to the wire for Gatelli against two young guns who have been working like mules wearing out shoe leather. Gatelli, on the other hand, tows a 500 ton anchor with her called Judy Gatelli, the "Crony who Couldn't" take control of city council with every possible adoption of 1935 oppression.

Wow Easter is about animals? Damn I have had the focus of the holiday all wrong. I thought it was about my savior Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected for my sins.
Geez Lus "the dumbest"? That isn't going to be easy as there are so many to choose from....ok I am going in...

The dumbest in my book is the one where it talks about Joe releasing the small fish into the Lackawanna River. In fact that "What is it like married to a man like Joe" thread is full of nuggets like the "fish liberation" story.

COM Cast Cable Anyone out there having problems with Comcast? They keep sending me notices my bill is $309.00. I pay my bill every month. Last month when I called they said disreguard that letter. You don't owe that. But they also said that everyone was going to get a letter , because they are democratic. And Adelphia let people go. I said I pay my bill why you picking on me? Well, the same this month. I sent in my payment that was on the bill. Another notice. I called again. Wanted to speak with a supervisor. He called me back. Very rude. Said I owed this money. I told him even if you added up two months bills would not come to this amount. he said it would. I guess we didn't go to same school. On top of that, when I called they also told me my monthly bill was $12.00 more than what they had said I owed on my bill. I asked why , No Answer. I told him they took quality and quanity away , { meaning they have taken many stations away } but charge us more. He said "YES WE DID" ! ! So bold. I feel since this is also a city contract it should be looked into. I am trying to get in touch with one of our TWO council people. Maybe they can't do anything. But should be advised. WEll, Direct TV, HERE I COME. The only thing with that is you cannot get channel 61. But maybe if enough ask somehow they may be able to put it on. Anyone else having problems ?

The 2 Black Men at the Doherty Party are STACY BROWN and TIO TOMASO (Spanish for uncle tom) aka Pedro Gonzales.. I have nothing against Pedro But I have talked to Many of the Hispanic People he says he represents and THEY say he is a Slave Trader for the Doherty administration and the Chamber Of Commerce.. Providing Scranton and the area with Cheap Labor in Return for Tax Dollars for his own special intrest!! I have heard Horror Stories of intimidation and threats for not meeting production quotas,,, NOT by Pedro But by the supervisors and owners of businesses who employ the hispanics...
All the while a Well Known Salon Hires Eastern Europeans and TRAPS them in the basement to do the dirty work as those above get their nails done and SEA WEED FACIAL WRAPS at TAXPAYERS EXSPENCE!! This PUBLICLY FUNDED PRIVATLY PROFITED Business should be investigated!!!
This was definitely idotic, like the entire thread. First of all, I don't go to birthday parties for leisure as I don't celebrate birthdays. I was there a little while writing about the mayor's party and then I covered the Broadway play downstairs. The mayor's party had more than 750 people there and Edith, aka the shadow, said in her post that there were just a small group of elderly people. WISHFUL THINKING!!! That was a great, lively, mixed crowd, and the oldest may have been the man celebrating his birthday, the mayor. It was absolutely phenomenal and I think it was a great response by the mayor and his supporters to the party nomination snub. It's truly amazing how anyone still post over there.
I'm changing my response...this is my suggestion for the dumbest DD post. It has everything: conspiracy, an Irish politician (hence the "Evil ICN connection"), a hearse...what more you could you ask for?
RE: Wanted: any type or kind of voter fraud by anyone Mr. Pilchesky, keep a good eye on Weston Field. I swear the voters come and go in a hearse. It's bad over there and with Jimmy McNulty involved, God knows what may be going on. (edited for typos)

I was looking through DD's old boar posts and well I came up with this ... It's 2 posts ... the second one is in my opinion one of the dumbest things I have seen ... not because of the thought put into it but because they do not stick to their own rules ... what a difference 4 years made for A$$HOLE Pilchesky!
Having a board like this we will lose a lot of interested people Having a board like this we will lose a lot of interested people There is a lot of people who (1) wont register their email addresses, and (2) wont want to go through the registration of it all. Keeping it anonymous may have turned nasty at times but at least we had interested people looking and listening. This may lose us some interest

Sometimes nasty is a part of our right to freedom to express our political opinions. Calling someone ignorant, or stupid may be construed as calling them uninformed. That goes with the territory. Responses that continue in that vein without any facts to show how their opponent may be uninformed are usless. Many posters contacted me regarding a particular poster 'identifying' them, and personally attacking them based upon that assumption of identity. If you read the posts about Newcomb you would see what I mean, as a singular example. There were others.
It is not so much the nasty part that I am concerned about, although personal insults and attacks are never invited, but it was the posters who would continue to argue an issue with no supportive documentation or facts to back it up that took alot of space and time away from the others. For instance, when someone criticizes the mayor for spending city money on signs that feature his face, another poster would come back with an answer such as, 'the mayor has done a wonderful job and deserves to have his face on the signs.' That type of debate goes nowhere because it becomes an endless dialogue of 'no, he didn't!' and 'yes, he did!' And then that degraded into something similar to a bar room fight. Has nothing to do with free speech, just that it was clogging up the board and distracting serious posters from finding the serious discussions. In other words, the person stating that the mayor did a wonderful job must support that opinion with situations and circumstances. His factual support can then be rebutted by the oppositon.

Dibileo/Evans/Courtright/Rogan/Joyce cheered loud by huge Latino crowd tonight
Standing room only at the Oasis in south side where a supercharged faction of the Latino community invited DiBileo/Evans/Courtright/Rogan/Joyce for a little high spirited support. All of the Latino community members were in attendance from 6 - 9 to give the candidates an eyeful and earful of Latino pride. If there was any question of which way the Latino community is leaning, it was answered tonight with their raucious delivery of loud chants and applause as each candidate gave a fist-pounding speech of what life will be like in Scranton without Chris Doherty, Judy Gatelli and Sherry Fanucci.
Landslide is in the making as a deliriously desperate Doherty hits the mailboxes with flyers that are beyond laughable.
RE: Dibileo/Evans/Courtright/Rogan/Joyce cheered loud by huge Latino crowd tonight Let me say that I believe that Mrs. Evans is definitely for the people. That having been said how do we know that between her back injury and her mother's poor health, how can we be assured that her heart will be in Council once re-elected to the post?

There are soldiers, blown up with with road side bombs.
After being rehabilitated and what we would call being disabled, are choosing to return to IRAQ. Their dedication to their beliefs governing all else. "GOD BLESS THEM."
I see that same determination in Ms. Evans. An honest person is an honest person. I really have faith that If Ms. Evans thought she could not serve the citizens, she would not play EGO games and withdraw from the race.
In my heart I truly believe what ever the outcome, Ms. Evens will attempt to prevent anything that would be detrimental to all citizens of Scranton.
He is kidding right ... comparing Janet to a soldier that was injured by a roadside bomb ....
Oh that's right she would never do anything that would be detrimental to the citizens ... She won't withdraw no matter what ... and she wouldn't play EGO games ... her life is an EGO game!
Get with the program Sarge!

Every time I hear of anyone making a comparison to a wounded soldier, my blood begins to boil - no matter who they are comparing.
I've got a nephew who did two tours in the middle east disarming bombs, a grandson who is in rotation to ship out shortly, and numerous friends and friends-of-friends who are either there now, or have been there in the past 7 years. Thank God, all these men and women have come home in one piece ... a little worse for wear, but home safe and sound. And God bless those who didn't come home unscathed.
For someone - ANYone - to make that kind of a comparison to janet evans makes me want to find that jackass and give him the boot in his ass he so desperately deserves -- really and truly -- and not politically speaking. (Ding ding ding -- alert the attorneys.) For that blathering idiot to actually make that comparison to someone whose back hurts is utterly ridiculous. Is janet thousands of miles away from home? Is she under sniperfire? Has someone actually taken a shot at her? No -- she's got an 'owwie' and is looking for sympathy any way she can get it.
Maybe if she slept outside in the cold sand she'll feel better. Maybe if she rode around in a stripped humvee instead of having her fuzzy ass pampered in her cushy benz she would feel better. Maybe her back would feel better if she ate her c-rations in a foxhole instead of on her donut pillow. Don't compare that simpering diva to any soldier who fought for MY country.

You can't always go by which signs are in which yards. There's also a lot of Castellano signs in Doherty yards, but I am wondering if that's coming from the Republican side - there's also a lot of Tierney signs in Doherty yards. And vice versa, there's also a lot of Moyle signs in DiBileo yards.
Driving around a couple weeks back I saw some folks with Fanucci signs going to the houses with Doherty signs and asking the people who lived there to put her signs up and skipping the other houses, but that one was pretty obvious anyways - Fanucci knew not to even waste her time trying with anyone else.
Now they are driving around looking at what signs are in what yards ... and when they do this they determine in their minds who is a Doobie and who is not among the politicians ... they also decide that if a candidate attends a rally then that particular candidate is somehow connected to that particular politician ...
Well that's not how it works friend at DD ... let me give you a little lesson here ... the yards where the Doherty signs are do not belong to Doherty they belong to someone who said "Yeah you can put a sign in my yard" ... and then another candidate who that person likes asks for a sign placement and gets it ... well the two candidates are not connected and supporting one and other ... the person who owns the property is supporting those two people.
Now on to our second lesson ... if a candiate attends a rally, it does not mean that they are for that candidate what it means is that perhaps they will meet new people that they have not been able to get out to one of their parties ... and possibly get to voters that they would not have access to otherwise ... it's called campaigning ...
Gary DiBileo went to Bob Lesh's party at the Waldorf ... I know he did because he and I were talking at length there ... is he supporting Bob Lesh ... Not in this life or the next but he was there and he was announced as a candidate for Mayor ... how stupid you all are at DD to think just because someone is at a particular rally that they are somehow tied to that politician ... it's just called campaigning.

Dear Double Trouble , I was surprised and shocked myself.
Hey Fanucci, Gary took your advise and got a set of MEATBALLS.
It seem he got a set of meatballs that would rival yours.
Only one observation.
He spoke of NCC. Unless you watch council meeting or have been involved with them you have no reference to what NCC means or what they face.
I am a member of AUSA. Means nothing to people.
I think he can say NCC and everyone would have it go over their head.
I wish he would mention NCC is a way to reward campaign contributors. A plan to where if you owe $400 in late taxes you may have to pay $2,400 no leeway or defence. $400 to the city and $2,000 reward to ????".
I think a full explanation would show the citizen the full contempt and unconcern he has for them.
If I were his political adviser that is what I would have him do. Then again I am just a nobody, cursed to have a computer in front of me, that makes me feel omnipotent.
I do not think that the only way people would know about NCC is by watching a council meeting.
As to the AUSA ... sarge are you attending the convention May 13 - 14 in Washington?
