I would like to know more about the man's personal life. That tells a lot about a person.

What strikes me about it is that it really is typical of the problems at DD.  What are they going to find out abut Austin Burke? 

His nationality?

His religion?

His sexuality?

Why in the hell do those things really matter anyway? 

Now do I think that Austin Burke has done an effective job in bringing good paying jobs to the area?  Not especially, but then again he is not solely responsible for that either, as many of the factors that drive employment in the region are out of his (or any single person's) control.  In the end though, his performance as a professional has nothing to do with his personal life.

This "give me all the dirt on ______" bull$hit is the true legacy of Joe Pilchesky.  He's not Bufford Pusser, he's not Norma Rae, he's not some modern day Spartan...he's a bully who cloaks his misogyny, racism, anti-semitism, and own personal lust for power in a way that a few weak-minded people actually think he gives a crap about anything...other than himself.

Pilchesky EMBODIES everything he claims to be against.

I don't want to know anything about the personal lives of officials elected or appointed ... it's not of my business ... I have enough to deal with in life knowing my very own personal business.

Now Pilchesky didn't like it much when someone dug into his personal business did he? He does not like being exposed as someone who owes back taxes for more than 6 years ... Oh that's right ... he doesn't owe his wife does ... anyway one would think he would now stop digging into the personal business of others.

Isn't it funny that he thinks nobody had the right to bring out his tax issues ... hell he does it all of the time to people.

Isn't there a saying that you should treat others as you yourself would like to be treated. Well that's how people are now treating poor Joe, the way he treats them.

On the other end of the specrtum you have this posting, which actually makes some sense...one of the few at DD who does.  Apparently 'IMilegal' figured out that things like blaming Doherty for a suicide and all manner of racist, homophobic, and misogynistic* rants paint the DD crowd as a bunch of loons...who'd a thought that?

This really shows your true intelligence. There are so many true factual reasons not to vote for the mayor again and this is the nonsense you feel you need to spew from your mouth? Now you know why they still vote for the guy, because people portray this nonsense as the alternative. I know I'm not the adminstrator of this site, but do me a favor please. Start this topic over and post some serious reasons because this is the most important election that this city will ever see. misogynistic* is my new favorite word for three reasons:

1.  98% of DD posters probably don't know what it means (I'll give Glenn and Hardcore credit)
2.  Sam Patilla probably couldn't pronounce it
3.  It has the benefit of being true

That has to be the most intelligently wrtitten posts since dd inception. Heck, one of US could have written it. I'll even go one better. I think it might even be our very own Sherri since the "they" is in quotation marks.
