Unlike many others who have come here, you have raised a legitimate issue.The question is; DoI suppress free speech? My answer is that I do not. I have a purpose here. It's to exposure corruption, the players, share facts and exhange theories, opinions and projections. That makes it pretty cut and dried. Posters who come here just to attack other posters don't stay here very long. Posters whose content does not fall within the scope of the purpose of the forum do not stay here long. We have 2,916 registered posters. However, there are 4,334registrations that didn't pass the muster of a good email address, so they never got in. Over the last 4 years, I have banned 567 posters. Most, not all, got a warning or two.

Granted, established posters get a lot of latitude if they one day need to express something outside the purpose of this forum, even it's some angry frustration. You know, administrating a message board is notwithout an investment oftime and research. Every post has to be read for content as soon as I can get to it, usually in the morning and then again at night. Editing must be done, or deleting in some case. I get an average of30 - 45 PMs a day and just as many emails, so I must read them and respond.

If I had allowed this forum to be nothing but the bashing of other postersand disucssion of things for which this forum was created, I have a sense that it would have succumbed a long time ago and we would not have garnered 7,695,380 unique hits, plus those other millions within the site.

As for your challenge to constitutionally madated free speech at this site,you have none.Your participation here is a privilege, and one you can lose, and shall loseif you abuse the purpose of the forum. I think I let most posters 'get it on' without much interference. Every politician, bar none, has been subjected to antagonistic dialogue here. You cannot name one that has not.

The mayor may have made some bad calls, but he's done some good too. Everyone has the same constitutional right to give their opinion if Chief Screwball will only let them give it. He won't.

It's not about the good he does. He gets paid to do good, as does everyone drawing a paycheck everywhere. It's about the bad, and he's proven to bepurely evil-minded with no conscience whatsoever.
