Refer to the 'Second Best to Raise Children' thread at DD, link HERE.
This is what I gather from reading the thread:
1. If a magazing writes something bad about Scranton, it's obviously TRUE. If a magazing writes something good about Scranton, it's obviously FALSE. [Utter bull$hit if you ask me, but remember, this is what the DD troops think]
2. Joe probably doesn't like Stacy's updates on the whole "Edith estate bilking" thing. Go Stacy!
3. Joe figured out that Mr Prashant Gopal isn't a native of Scranton. Brilliant, utterly brilliant!! Note to Joe: Neither is Sammy Patilla, however Mr Gopal (who works for a nationally recognized magazine and has a graduate degree from Columbia University) can string words together to form cohesive sentences and Mr Patilla (who was a former adult paperboy and part-time grass-cutter) can't. Based on that alone, I'll lend more creedence to the research and insight of non-native Gopal over, say, that of non-native Patilla.
4. Speaking of Newark's favorite son, Sam Patilla somehow has the power to know where the author of the underying article was born... "Maybe Prashant Gopal should write about real estate and the school system in India his birth place" ...magically without knowing actually anything about Mr Prashant Gopal. Hell, maybe Mr Gobal was born in Newark, just like Sammy. To be serious for a moment, Mr Gopal attended Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY, which is pretty far from New Delhi if you ask me. [All Sammy had to do was to Google Mr Gopal, but I may be asking a bit much there]

Free Speech does't require a multi-paragrah disclaimer Mr. Pilchesky.
you know this is the 30th anniversary of Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre where he got them all to drink Kool-Aid laced with poison. Well, the few who still follow PUKEboy Joe and his grizzly beast didn't learn their lesson. And, since you mention Sam, he comes from Newark where it seems every day the former mayor (who ran the city all the while Sam lived there) still faces new charges of corruption each day and where the crime rate nearly matches places like Gary, Indiana and Washington, DC and certainly tops Wilkes-Barre, yet Sam comes here and immediately, Day 1, talks about how corrupt and bad things are. Hmmm. It seems that Sam thought he saw vulnerability where he wouldn't dare pull these antics in Newark where he wouldn't have to worry about a cop riding a bike in front of his house but masked, badge wearing, stick carrying, heavily artilary carrying men --- and women--- would have just smashed his door down by now and given him and ultimatimun-- get up, get out, shut up and don't come back. Hey maybe that's what happened. And as far as PUKEboy and his few remaining minions, how long could they last outside the city of Scranton? He, if he tried to pull any of this crap in say New York, L,A, DC, he'd be a footnote on the obit page. Here, they ignore him, which is probably the best way. Anyway, just a couple of more months of freedom for Edith!!!!!
