I found this thread kind of funny ... the kids across the hall are now against the Scranton Post ... they think they should be used as a new source ... how funny is that ... but it gets funnier ... take a look:
The post has to go out on a limb if they want to compete. If they don't expect to compete and just want a market of their own, they still have to go out on a limb.
There are many sources of information out there, this board included. That should provide the fodder for someone at the Scranton Post to chew on and make a story out of. One can only surmise that none of the reporters, or maybe even the editor want to take dangerous chances, like exposing corruption.
I think that Joe would be a good investigative reporter, but I'm sure the Post doesn't want to be associated with him.
So Joe would make a good investigative reporter .... now darlings he wouldn't ... you have to do more than make up crap ... you actually have to go after the truth ... that's not something that Papa Pilchesky is good at ... he likes to make things up ... and how hypocritical ... someone who is as corrupt as Joe ... exposing corruption ... do we not think that if things were truly as Joe stated 4 years ago ... Doherty being as politically corrupt as Papa claims ... well hell I think he would have been removed from office and jailed by now ... not happening ...
Besides wasn't Joey supposed to start his very own paper with that printing press he has ... how long ago was that supposed to happen ... Now if he did that he would be able to expose whatever he wants ...
Hey Joe 2 years ago you claimed that Doherty would be taking a high paying job in Harrisburg ... when does he start that new job????
Yeah right he would make a hell of an investigative reporter ... LOL ... I can't stop laughing at that thought!!!
Joey never started that paper because he knew that he would be on the losing end of a lawsuit every other day. You have to have facts to back up the claims you make ... evidence ... hmmmmm ... that would be a problem for him and the kids across the hall ... hey maybe PeeWee could be his star Reporter! And lets not forget Milo ... God knows he is always right (at least in his own mind) ....

Hey, the Scranton Post did a great front-page story on the series of tunnels underneath downtown Scranton. It really was an interesting article.
As for Pilchesky being an investigative reporter, I'm sure that will happen right after WILK gives him his own talk show. He's begged for that one in the past. Oh course there is the little problem of Pilchesky not really being a good public speaker...and the fact that he likes to simply make crap up (such as the Mayor causing a suicide)...and the fact that he revels in bringing up the children and grandchildren of elected officials (such as Judy Gatelli)...and the fact that he thinks adding "Politically Speaking" to any threat somehow makes it not a threat...and the fact that he should be spending his time trying to keep his wife out of the hooskow.

There is an interesting thread on the NEPA Media site about Borys from the Scranton Times not doing enough to "out" Frank Shimkus that follows this same logic. I really, honestly don't think Pilchesky and his followers are intellectually capable of understanding the differences between...
...fact and hearsay ...fact and gossip ...posting anonymously and authoring an article ...newspapers that are on a newsstand and postings on a message board
Publishing an article in a newspaper isn't like an on-line post that Joe can delete, "Edit for Clarity" or add "Politically Speaking" to once it has been released. These are people who want the publishers of a newspaper (be it the Scranton Post or the Scranton Times) to stake their reputations on what they print but the same posters are unwilling to stake their own reputations on what they write on DD.
Now you could argue that we are no different here posting anonymously, but that's untrue: no one here is claiming to uncover "grand conspiracies" that the media his hiding from view. I have no problem taking credit for what I write...I just don't want to wake up one morning and find Les Spindler going through my garbage.

Amen to the Ag ... that's why I don't give out my name ... don't want any of the kids across the hall showing up and going through my trash ... or trashing my property ... they make claims that they stalk people and well it stands to reason that most people would not want to be harrassed.
