I bet Scranton's own version of legal commentators Greta Van Susteren (Edith) and Roger Cossack (Joe) put their own DD spin on what happened at the Recovery Hearing in Harrisburg. I see it unfolding along the lines of Joe saying something vulgar about the administration, followed by Edith posting a God Bless America and True Freedom of speech post. This will be shortly followed by another one of Joe's usernames saying how scared everyone is of Joe and then Researcher copy and pasting a post from a crackpot tabloid from Oregon that has nothing to do with anything.
What's truly sad here is the fact that it's come to this in the first place. I agree that you'll have Harpies like Joe and Edith on the sidelines, but this whole mess should have been solved by adults in charge, years ago. In my mind that's as much the fault of people like Annmarie "finger disability" Stulgis as it is Chris Doherty.
Now we have the unions really pissed off that they've lost so much power (goodbye bankers hours Drug Squad, goodbye Police Chief in the union...so he can violate his own contract and then share in the settlement that results) and a Mayor believing that he the only way to deal with his employees is through the Law Department. There are no winners here, least of all the taxpayers.

Great points AG. I have a tough time buying into many arm chaired politicians and freedom fighters on DD are truly concerned for the Firemen and Police. I believe many of the DDers want to use the Union as only a blunt force object to go after they mayor. Case in point was the Scranton School District, though there were numerous posts for the teachers, Pappa Joe allowed others to bash the teachers mercilessly on his site. Try bashing the police and fire on there and you will be quickly banned. Why was there not as much outrage for the teachers, simple Chris Doherty wasn't a part of it. I wonder if Ozzie and his band of loonies will picket the school board meeting if they debate on raising taxes for the new teacher contract. I doubt they will because it's not as cool as going to council and rooting for their queen.
