This post speaks volumes...and there is nothing in here I disagree with...if Hardcore is a cop, that just proves that all the good things I say about them are absolutely true. The clerical union inScranton are some of the hardest working people in this city. They are the folks who actually make sure the city runs, and continues to run. People like Doherty, Renda, Hayes, etcetera, call the shots, but the clerical workers actually make sure theeveryday behind the scenes work gets done. The majority of these employees are not high society, latte sipping, BMW drivingStepford wives. They are the women who walk to work in sneakers and change into dress shoes in the office. They bring brown bag lunches, and don't dine at "Brixx" or "Scanlan's". Who the FK are you tocastigate them for accepting a contract? Since you are so quick to cast aspersions, exactly how do you earn your money? For six years, they have tried to live off the same income they had when gasoline was 1.50 a gallon, and a grocery order wasunder a hundred bucks.Whether it was part of the Mayor's "master plan," or just aging coal town economics, the members of the clerical union had their backs against the wall. The body did what it felt it had to do. Perhaps the police will get a contract too, perhaps not. But the decision will be based on economics, not on some absurd conspiracy theory aboutthe "ICN"subnodes selling out to stay in good graces. Very good post by Hardcore and I have to say that it's about damn time that someone told Anti off ... now if Nelson would only grow a set and tell him. What I find facinating is this ... that the majority of DD'ers and Doomers would expect that the city unions keep up the fight taking no raise ... the cost of living has gone up dramatically in the past few years ... hell in this year alone ... I don't know how the hell they do it ... and they keep doing thier jobs ... I am praying that the Police and Fire Depts get a raise ... I couldn't imagine walking in their shoes ... __________________ I want everyone to stop and think about one thing ... Joe Pilchesky is not a lawyer ... he's just a guy playing a lawyer on the internet. Please don't trust your legal needs to this man.
