Just a brief rest from the Scranton insanity on my part to say Thank You to all the veterans out there who have served their country with honor. That includes my late father (who served as a medic in the US Army during the Korean Conflict) and my brother (who served in the Navy). One of the things that makes America great is that so many young men and women willingly give of themselves for others. No King, Queen, Tsar, or other leader could ever command such sacrifice by fiat.

Thank you for you post Ag ... and many thanks to all of our veterans. My father was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was very proud of that.
I spent the day going to the graves of family members ... not picnicing ... for me it was a day of rememberance ... Fairview Memorial Park has a very nice ceremony every year ... put on by the veterans if you have never been to it I would highly recommend it.

Isn't that beautiful Girl ... but sadly not as many flags fly as did years ago. It seems that they are slowly phazing that out ... and I will tell you that is one of the reasons my father wanted to be buried at Fairview ... because of the beauty of the flags that fly ....
