I went to DD and found this thread ... I think this is a legitimate concern for a parent .... but I see that Pappa P had to throw in ihs two cents ... and I'm just wondering if you (Glenn) will lecture Pappa about his infantile behavior and will you tell him that he is stooping or is that something that you only tell us?
Neil Armstrong principal a problem? I was privy to a conversation about a parent who has a child at Neil Armstrong with a chronic illness. Apparently Principal Stefani made the comment "Well, you had better do something about her (withheld) illness." Stefani was apparently implying the parent made up the illness to excuse his daughter from school and did not take proper care of his child.
Stefani then allegedly threatened to take the parent to court over the child's absences. When the child's parent went to the school board, doctor's notes excusing the child for her illness Stefani allegedly did not have suddenly reappeared.
I'm glad Stefani also apparently has a license to practice medicine because apparently he can tell whether a child is ill despite a real doctor's opinion.
I've dealt with Stefani in the past and I can attest he's a hothead. Apparently, the parent had his run-in with Stefani after returning his child from an approved absence to see her brother, who is stationed in a war zone and was on a short leave out of state.
In my dealings with Stefani, I've formed the opinion he is a bully. When I spoke with him by phone, he was blustering and offensive. When I threatened to go to the school board, he became compliant.
I respect authority but from my discussions with other parents, I've come to think this man believes he has more authority than the parents of his students. I know I used to volunteer at the school but refuse to now because the man has made it clear to me my help is not needed by his rude, condescending attitude and total disregard for the opinions of others.
Has anyone else had problems with this man? I'm curious whether these are isolated incidents or the norm. Is it time to make our complaints known to the School board? If the Stefani I've come to know treates parents like this, how does he treat our children?
I can deal with rude, arrogant behavior but I see no reason why I or any other parent should have to do so. This needs to be investigated and corrected.

The writing was on the wall and where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
I was bothered by the "No Visitor" policy allegedly put in place to protect the children. Now I have more questions. Why can't a parent just "stop by?" What's up with the PTA? Does Stefani have a problem with the US Military and supporting our troops?
If a doctor excuses a student from school, does Stefani believe he has the right to countermand that excuse?
Why don't parents want to volunteer at the school anymore?
Just what is going on at this school?

Perhaps Glenn will point out to JOey that by being "Ultra SNARKY" - JOey therefore, hence forth would be advocating through non enforncement of his own rules of posting and playing administrator to said self would be actually trying to "SNOOKER" his "bottom feeders" into believing that such said postings are acceptible and even encouraged.

Double points for using Snarky and Snooker in the same posting. I am Lawyer and Professional Journalist material.

The ironic part is that Pilchesky freely posts sexual inuedo about the principal at Neil Armstrong school, but would immediately strike the same post if it were directed at Janet Evans (and yes, there have been similar rumors about her in the past).

Glenn...I think the point, if I could induge for a moment...is that you would say it is unnecessary HERE, but not there.
My own feeling is that you look the other way quite a bit when it comes to DD posts that are clearly offensive. Now I don't expect you to be Joe Pilchesky's moral compass, but on the same token I would expect anyone with a conscience (who is registerred at DD) to speak up when the extreme stuff is posted...stuff like "Doherty to blame for suicide"..."I was snooping in Sherry's garbage"..."Judy Gatelli had/did _____________ years ago"...etc.
The 900lb gorilla in this thread is, of course, why you don't speak up in a public way when stuff like that above is posted. My own feeling? You clearly have a desire to run for public office, and you don't want to offend potential voters (even if they belong to the lunatic fringe). Furthermore, I suspect that you have no desire to see a "Give me all the dirt on Glenn Cashuric" thread started by Scranton's favorite serial plaintiff. I don't blame you on either accord; but I also can't let it pass that you remain silent when the worst of the worst is posted at DD. Yes, you could claim that you warm Pilchesky in private when the worst crap comes up, but only reinforces my other point: you are unwilling, unable or affraid to take a more public stance on the worst of the DD racism/sexual inuendo, etc.
Bottom Line: You want to play on DD, but you don't want to get too dirty. What you apparently can't see is the fact that DD is one giant $hit storm, and there is no way you can be there an NOT get dirty.
