On Wednesday Scranton native Brian Stann won the WEC (ultimate fighting) championship. The WEC is like AAA for the UFC, but many believe Stann will be the next big thing in the UFC in a few years. He graduated from Scranton prep, went on to become a star linebacker at NAVY, and is a highly decorated marine that is still active.
Its really great to see a scranton native make it big time. Hopefully one of his next fights will be within driving distance so the city can let him know how scranton treats their own.
We watched it ... and I have to say that it was quite exciting to see ... Congratulations ... and I also hope he has a fight closer to home ... agreed that it would be great to go and show hometown pride and support for this young man!

I can't say that I'm a fan of this sport, but I certainly can appreciate how hard this Marine has worked to get to this point. If for no other reason, he does prove that Prep has produced at least one tough guy (spoken like a true Hannan grad).

I bet nobody is singing that little song about Prep to this guy!

"Does your son go to Prep? Does he wear a purpose dress? Does he wear a yellow ribbon in his hair? Is he momma's little dear? Is he pappa's Cavalier? If your son goes to Prep he's a _______ (rhymes with "steer")"
Sorry, just had to say do it.
Oh Lus, care to translate the footer of your posts? It looks Gaelic.

It is Gaelic Ag ... As I am very proud of my Irish heritage ... more so since reading what Anti has to say about Irish ... none of it true ...
so here goes:
"Cuimhnich air na daoine o'n d'thainig thu" Translates to: ~Remember the men from whom you are sprung ~
