Just looked at a message board that seems to exist to slam this one.. All well and good, they are entitled to their opinions, but at a glance the only ones posting on it are the 7 moderators who sit watch. They seem kind of lonely over there..not much substance either, but good for amusement.


Oh, and to be serious for a moment...

...I would post here even if I were the only poster; the fact that I can post here and also enjoy the writing a small group of very bright & articulate people (who don't always agree, but are always agreeable) makes it all the better.
...Maybe the 'seethedeception' doesn't realize that at DD, more than a few posters actually write under a few different names. We don't allow that here, so unlike DD, what you see here is actually what you get.

Funny he took the time to check the place out. Ag did I read right? Not much substance? Maybe the lack of wild tangents, name calling and bitterness left him feeling a little hollow. Lets make some bets. Will he get a spanking? Maybe banned? As for the seven mods posting, I will take actual people over ghost posters any day.

Thought I was going crazy, I went to look as well. That might be record time. I too once started a thread over there. It was removed in a manner of seconds. If only a few people put their heads together for just once, they would realize the truth. I guess all the praise he heaped on pd made Joe remove it LOL

Laughing my a$$ off here...not only did Pilchesky take the post down, but there's a good chance that he may have first seen it here. [Note to 'seethedeception': Free Speech isn't so free at DD, now isn't it?]

Isn't it nice that there are always things you can count on, you know...like flowers in the spring, warm summer nights and Pilchesky contradicting himself? Life is truly good.

Oh, and it's a real damn shame that we caught that post here before Joe broke out the ereaser. Can you spell "Busted"?

Why did Joe Pilchesky remove your post? Funny, I read it several times and I didn't see anything that was profane, vulgar, or disparaging of anyone's character. You don't like what we post here, but that's no big deal. Trust me, none of us will try and find out who you are and then sue you.

Maybe, just maybe, Pilchesky doesn't like people to know that this site exists. He doesn't want HIS posters reading a difference of opinion about him, his actions or the his motives. He wants to make sure that the only thing HIS posters read is HIS version of the truth. Take a moment and seriously consider this question: just what is he affraid of?

Free Speech? You tell me dude. In a way we should thank you. Your posting, up for all of about 30 minutes, proved in one stroke that just about everything we say about Pilchesky's twisted version of "free speech" is true, namely that the only speech that Joe Pilchesky wants to be free is HIS OWN (and those who agree just with him). He's as guilty of hiding the truth as those he desparages.

I'm guessing that he got a pm telling him to never make the mistake of mentioning PD ever again ...

The fact that he took that post down just backs up the reason that we exist ... now back before we were in existance ... the mere mention of something that Pappa Pilchesky didn't endorse as his way of thinking not only would be removed ... the poster would be banned. I have to say that the bannings have slowed down lately.

As for our Moderators being the only posters ... not true ... we have picked up a few members over the last few months ... not 2000 ... but we have a great group moderators and members ... we do not have to agree on everything ... I don't want these people to think as I think ... and hey what is truly unique about our site is this ... we not only hold members to our rules of conduct ... but since we have moderators Moderators we are each held to the same rules that all posters on the site are held to ... I do not make decisions on my own ... I always consult with the moderators ... so this site is a democracy ... and across the hall is a dictatorship ...

I'd love to have been there when 'seethedeception' read the PM from Joe with the order to cease and desist all references to this site. What ran through STD's head at that moment?

THAT's the whole reason he took it down. Unless you are ripping someone a new one or starting a rumor filled with sexual inuendo, it's got no reason to be posted there.

You know the funny thing is that Joe Pilchesky would be welcome to join PD and have his own opinion ... we would welcome the chance to ask him some questions ... now he on the other hand would not welcome anyone of the original 7 posters of PD to join DD ... I find that very interesting.

I guess that is the biggest difference between these two sites!

Mr. Free Speech strikes again ... well Girl ... welcome to the club ... I know that the only reason I was banned is because I had an opinion that was all my own ... it didn't fall in line with the way the Pappa Pilchesky thought I should think ... he even sent an email telling me that when I change my way of thinking that I would be welcome to once again post at DD ... but ... since I have a mind all my own ... I just thought it would be better to have a place to post my opinions ... as Mr. Free Speech himself had denied me what he claims to hold so dear for all citizens ... hmmmmm .... I could not and would not blindly follow him ... so I am assuming that you are the same and well unless you want to tow the DD line you will be banished forever never allowed to post your thoughts on that website ever again!

Your better off not posting there. Trying to keep up with all the crazy posts across the hall could become a full time job.

I have seriously thought about registering at DD, but I am affraid that my response to most posting would end up being along the lines of "Wait, are you mentally retarded?". Not much of a contribution; besides, some of the stuff there is just so outlandishly stupid that it goes beyond even that response. The good news? A lot of people seem to realize that as well, as evidenced by this posting from the NEPA Media message board:

I just read that thread at the NEPA Media site ... they don't offer any praise for Pappa Pilchesky ... I wonder if he will go on and post or send one of his goons over to defend the DD way of life ... I'm going to keep checking back ... it should prove interesting.
