How is it only the infringment of free speech and civil liberties of the people at dee dee dot com makes any difference? Who in the hell are they to deny ANY group of consenting adults to meet anywhere they choose? If the County denied these people a place to have their gathering, all hell would have broken loose because civil liberties were being denied. Isn't that was dd is all about?
The Trolly Museum, as with any other venue, is open for rental to any group, whether it be a wedding, bar mitzvah or graduation party. If some sixteen year old girl was 'forced' to work an event she was uncomfortable with, then she and her parents have a legitimate gripe. But the people who work these events, whether they be sixteen or sixty are privy to what event is taking place far enough in advance to come out and say "no, I can't work that event". I am sure if it was implied that the night was going to be filled with sex and debauchery, the powers that be certainly would have made sure NOT to have had underage employees on site.
You can have a gathering anywhere and never know what is going to happen. Haven't we all been to a party where SOMEone has been six sheets to the wind and acted like a total moron? Gay, straight - it makes no difference. Cripes, even Aunt Betty can't keep old Uncle Marty from making an off-color remark to a waitress after he's had one too many hi-balls at little Larry's bar mitzvah? What's to keep that drunken, pain-in-the-ass cousin of yours from pawing at his equally drunken girlfriend's ass on the dance floor? What's to keep your boss's skanky second wife from showing off her new boob job after three or four cosmos?
The Trolly Museum is open for business and looking to make a buck just as much as the next business. And if there happen to be a few half-naked men in the mix, well I'll be there to take a peek myself. For the record, no I am not gay -- but who the hell are they to point a finger in my direction if I were. I think all the local gay and lesbian people should jump on our bandwagon here at PD and voice their 'opinions' (and let me know the date/time of the next par-tay).

Now Pilchesky and all others can make any number of sexually suggestive comments on a public message board ("Sherry kneel'n", etc.), but that's not crossing a line, however having this kind of event is? When last I checked, gays and lesbians are free to support whomever or whatever they want. If they want to have a party, so be it...no one forced anyone from DD to attend.
When last I checked, being gay or a lesbain isn't a crime, and that's what the real issue here is, not a party at the Trolly Museum. Simply put, the goons are affraid of anyone who doesn't fit their wee-little definition of "ok".
They need to grow the hell up.
