Crowd was unbelievable ... I would say 250 or more people ... you couldn't even move in the room ... not one mention of the DD or PD websites ... contrary to what the goons think ... nobody is out there constantly talking about them ... I was there and I tell you that I could not move in the room!

The goons like to pretend that they know everything ... however we know that they don't ... and so to cover themselves they make **** up.

The back room was filled beyond capacity and the front bar had many overflow people in it ... I would say that this individual was not there ... that's just my opinion!

Right from one of the barmaids. There were 115 - 125 tops. This woman works there and knows how to gauge the crowd. 67 tickets were actually sold. Many people moaning that they "had" to show up, but won't do it again.No Gatelli, Hailstones, Greco, DA, Commish, numerous dept. heads/ reporters of any media, Donna Doherty, Brazils or professional people. Primarily the exact same crowd or beer mongers seen at every Doherty fundraiser of past.Dohety was visiblyupset with the showing and presented a lackluster announcement that was greeted with less than stimulating response. Bottom line:Flop. Maybe next time.



And as to who was and was not there ... you may be right about Gatelli ... but the Hailstones definetly were in the room as I had a conversation with Jamie and Sara bumped into me ... so they were there ... Jeff Brazil was there .... Tom Davis was there ... Scopeletti was there ... Ludavicci was there .... Gene Skeleton was there ....

Donna Doherty stood by her husbands side as he gave a very excited yet brief announcemt that he will once again seek the re-election to the office of Mayor ... Teacher Union representatives were in the room ... along with some from the police department .... you could not move through the crowd ...

Sorry Joey ... your people must lie to you so that you won't drone on and on and on and on ...........

Hey but like you said .... maybe the next one will be a flop .... highly unlikely though!

The place was packed, I was there, retired police and firemen were there, if the Mayor does this 3 or 4 more times before he actually officially announces his intentions of running for a secussful 3rd term, no one will be able to catch up in the money dept and remember last time,, he had alot more than his oponients

...runing for Congress
...being appointed to a state job by the Governor

????

He is most definetly making another run for the office of Mayor of the City of Scranton.

Nelson needs new sources as do all of the Goons ... remember it was well over a year ago that Mayor Doherty was to leave for Harrisburg.

Who is this Nelson guy ? is he a cop ? when was he hired and by what Mayor ? Maybe politics wasn't active then, but then again, I doubt it. The only time politics was absent was during the examscam years lets see 1981-1986 ? hummmnnnn interesting years lets see who falls out of that steriod era, before testing was real

Nelson refers to Officer Nelson Ankaranni (I am spelling that wrong...my apologies), who is also the Treasurer of the FOP. He is a frequent speaker at counci meeetings and all but admitted that he is DD poster 'Nelson'.

He looks like he is in his 50's, so I'm thinking he has been on the force for a number of years...but I don't know that for certain.

Nelson has claimed during city council meetings that he gets all of his news from DD and trashes the Scranton Times....obviously not realizing that much of the factual news at DD comes from pasted Scranton Times articles.

nelson works in the juvenile division of the police department and is stationed at the subcenter on mulberry street. word is that he was very upset that his office was not included in the new police headquarters on washington ave. and has since bashed everyone.
