Going through with the trial was as much of a risk for Jarbola as it was for Sam.[Hmmm, let's measure the risk here: the DA has lawyers, researchers, and a large budget; what does Patilla have? This is the same guy who, two years ago, was the king of the quick insulting comment as he was leaving the podium. This is the guy who is a union officer...there is no love for Doherty or "the man" there with Newcomb. By the way, just who would have planted him?] who was as much as part of it, but was never charged. [Newcomb wasn't charged because calling Patilla an idiot isn't a crime, but being disruptive at a public meeting is.] Sam's words at the podium were not actionable, no matter what Gerulo's opinion was. [Not actionable? Funny, there were actionable enough to bring him to trial, now weren't they?] The article by Brown is another defiant work of prejudice against a man of his own color. [I read the article by Stacy, several times. There is really nothing there but the facts of the trial. The 'N' word is just at the tip of Joe's lips.] Terrible reporting, yet again. San can't live long enough to be the problem that lowlife Stacy Brown is. [Stacy could write that there was a 100% of daylight tomorrow and Pilchesky would calll it biased against the night.]

It's a victory for Sam as a pro se [Wow, Joe knows some Latin, so that makes him look smart to the Granma's of this world. Here's one for ya Joey: de minimis non curat praetor, which by the way, explains your success in court.] defendant. He gave them enough of a look at how he'd fight it for them to put an offer out there. Let's say it like it is, he should never have been arrested in the first place and if anyone butGatelli were president he wouldn't have. It was all about her. Shame on the SPD [Where is AnnMarie S, Nelson A, Bo Peep et all to defend the SPD? Oh, I forgot, they only defend the SPD when Doherty does something they don't like. Talk about opportunists, these people...especially Nelson, who openly posts at DD, should be ashamed. For God's sake, the SPD officers in Council chambers are only doing their job.] and more shame on Jarbola, who's looking more and more like a whimpy used car salesman rather than a responsible DA every day. [All because the DA doesn't jump when Joe yells. Well guess what Joe...that may work with Edith, but that's about it.] All's well that ends well, but I believe Jarbola blinked, not Sam. [Wait, in the paragraph above Joe says that someone "got to Sam". Which is it? Oh, and by the way, since when does saying your sorry, paying a fine, and going on probation for a few months constitute winning?]

INNOCENT MEN DO NOT COP PLEAS. Especially innocent men who had planned on appealing it to the US Supreme Court. When asked to put up or shut up, Sam caved.

Let's not gloss over Joe's point about Jarbola having more to lose than Sam did. Sam only had to worry about going to jail. Not sure what Andy had to worry about, but if Joe says it was a lot it must have been.

By the way, didn't Sammy make claims about how God was on this side? Funny, but I think "the BIG Guy" could probably have gotten Sammy acquitted. Gee, maybe it wasn't God on his side....

The down side to all of this? The mere thought of Sammy appearing at the U.S. Supreme Court in a gold lamme jumpsuit, dreds and a white sports headband, answering questions from Justice Antonin Scalia...Python couldn't have come up with a better skit.

Justice Scalia whispers to Justice Bader Ginsberg:

JOE!!! It's been three days. Don't let Fay's extreme ignorance bleed all over your ignorance. How about "editing for content" to get Sambo's name spelled properly in the thread title, huh?

As a general rule, when you support someone as strongly as you tools seem to support Sam, common courtesy dictates that you, at the very least, get his name right.


FYI, Hardcore, he also posts under Cyber Lion--check the post styles; uniquely identical, not to mention that he outed himself--so he's been around for well before his arrest. And did it ever occur to you that a condition of his parole is to stay off message boards? That or he thought Joe might actually be helpful, and when Pilchesky the fraud showed how ineffective and clueless in the courtroom (and useless ouside of it) that he truly is, Sam said forget that noise and stopped posting and/or associating himself with the board. Just thinking out loud here...
