Joey and Milo are really letting their hair down on this one wouldn't you agree?? I sure hope Milo is never proven to be a Evan's boy...might be a real problem for a would-be Mayoral candidate to explain these hidious anti-catholic comments from members of her familyto an extremely large catholic population........who vote!! Nice one Milo!!
Priest gives Doherty a plug??? While I am at it **** the whole Roman Catholic Church...especially the local scum who paly the holy roller card so well...look in the mirror you will se Rev Liberatore and Fr. Sica...where is Mayor Quinn errr I mean Msg Quinn these days? More politician than priest
RE: Priest gives Doherty a plug??? Agreed. Cloaked in the name of the Good Lord, there are many who are more robber without a gun than man of God. Many more, by the way.
First, God forbid anyone acknowledge Mayor Doherty...that's the real crime here. The fact that it was a priest is secondary. If it were a Rabbi, you'd hear every Jewish slur known to man. If it were a Muslim Imam you'd hear every "towel head" comment ever pondered. If it were an openly gay man or woman, you'd hear "fag" comments for days.
Second, there are how many priests in the Diocese of Scranton? I'm thinking around two hundred and fifty. So between Al Liberatore (he is no longer a priest, so he shouldn't be called "Father") and Father Sica, that's less than 2% who may be bad apples. Now let's look at the criminal percentage at DD. You have Joe, convicted of assault, you have Edith, facing trial on estate bilking, you have Sammy Patilla facing disorderly conduct...and those are just the ones we know about. I'd say that the percentage of people with legal/ethical (Joe...it is unethical to beat a sleeping drunk with a tire iron, even if you do think he stole your truck) problems FAR EXCEEDS that of the Diocese of Scranton. So that leaves us with the, as I think Paul or Art once said, "A$$ CLOWNS" at DD proving yet again that they are the masters of pot calling the kettle black.
Look, I am not one to defend the Catholic Church, but in my experience for every bad priest there are dozens of good ones.
