THE TIMES STATES AS FOLLOWS:

"Prosecutors alleged she took the money from the estate of her father, Raymond Conrad, who died in an Erie nursing home in September 2005."


"She gained a power of attorney and took the money from bank accounts, even though the money was supposed to be for his care and her power of attorney expired when he died.

After her father died, Mrs. Pilchesky never notified her father's banks of his death and withdrew nearly all the money, according to prosecutors."

A check for 50,000 dollars was deposited into Joanne's account 11 minutes after her father died. Within 48 hours of his death a 2000 Corvette was purchased. Motorcycle, two computers and a Jimmy came within the next few weeks. These people are worthless

And how about this from the shadow .... I would hope that if they are starting a defense fund that they are doing it in a legal manner ... they would need to report this as income ... and another thing ... there are so many people suffering from disease that could use your help ... why are you entertaining the thought of giving money to this criminal ...

Reading Pilchesky's responses to this stuff...including & not so suprisingly a homophobic reference...

...you get the distinct impression that Edith's whole mess is some kind of game to him.  Yet another excuse for him to play Perry Mason and try and "stick it to the man".  It would make an interesting teleplay, but what he doesn't realize is that this is not a game.

By the way, once Edith goes to the pokey it will not be in Erie, as I don't think there is a women's correctional facility there; the closest one may be in Muncy.

Oh, as for the "Free Edith" fund, well if anything is mentioned on-line about it actually existing, then all it will take is a simple call to the IRS tip line to get the ball rolling.

Someone can, as I understand it, solict all the money they want...but if where the money goes to isn't set up as a Trust or it doesn't go to a not-for-profit, then (I believe...) it would be considered taxable income for Mr & Mrs Pilchesky.

I'm not a lawyer or tax expert so I can't really answer that, however I doubt that keeping a convicted estate-bilker out of jail falls inside the 501(c)(3) regulations.  Generally speaking, the tax exempt regulations are for institutions that provide for a public benefit...not a benefit for an individual.  This is why, I think, these things typically set up as a Trust.  In the absence of a Trust, I believe that all the money received becomes taxable income for the recipient.

Thank you Ag ... I have no idea what qualifies and what does not ... but I'm thinking that a fund to help keep a convicted felon out of jail would not be something that would qualify as a not for profit organization. And if it does ... well how truly sad is that.

Yes.

1. The power of attorney is not obligated to notify the bank until she gets the death certificates, which come from the funeral director when you pick up the body, or the ashes in this case.

2.  When Joanne went to get her father's ashes in Erie, her counsin, the one who perpetrated a fraud to get letters testamentary, had stolen the ashes as the fraudulent Executrix and took the death certificates. 

3. It was when the ashes were stolen and the death certificates were taken that most of the money was moved since the old power of attorney, who happened to be the fraudulent Executrix, Charlene Snyder, also refused to surrender a check book.

4. Joanne actually notified the banks immediately, but they would not close any of the accounts without the death certificate.

5. Charlene Snyder, a staunch gay rights supporter, appeared in court with her lover, and testified under oath that she took the ashes and the death certificates.

6. The prosecutors wasted the state's resources, as they will see as this proceeds.

Cordaro and Shimkus felt the power of one person taking on the legal system to have them thrown off the ballot, and all the way to the Suprme Court in Cordaro's case.  One person!  (Can you say narcassist .... this guy just needs to keep patting himself on the back ... I actually think he gets some sort of sick kick out of the fact that his wife will be going to jail .... he is using this to promote himself ... Joanne why do you stay with this man?)

Image what we can do united and growing in strength and numbers every day, bringing our resources of communication skills, information, knowledge, and financial support to the table. (Imagine if those who hate what you do ban together to take you down ... bringing resources of communication skills, the truth instead of the lies that you tell ... and what financial support are you talking about ... are you about to start charging for membership to your sick little world ... I bet your numbers would be down if they had to pay to post!  And if you are speaking of your own personal finances ... well your about to be penniless aren't you ... all that money you have to pay back ... or are you going to charge them to post so you can make restitution?  Interesting thought ... and I'm not surprised at all)

How come Joe can never take blame for his own actions?Its always some one elses fault the lawyer,his wife,the prosecuter,the man with the green hat.For once in his life stand up like a man and take blame,also this means his wife It would be in his best interest to do so.These people always have an excuse its no wonder No One likes them!Also can you imagine beeing a relative or grandson I  cant.They are a sad pathetic excuse for humans.

No matter what...death certificate or not... that money was supposed to be the property of the ESTATE!  Not Joanne's money or her sisters money, it is supposed to go the estate and then gets distributed to the rightful owner from the estate. 

No matter what, SHE ROBBED HER DECEASED FATHER!  And she didn't notify the bank or the bank wouldn't close the account because she didn't have a death certificate.  Thats another line of bull because the only bank that requires the death certificate is PNC Bank, and that doesnt even matter because the fact is that the Executrix in this case is responsible to notify the attorney of any bank accounts held by the decedent.  If the attorney didnt have a death certificate and the bank required one then the attorney would have requested one for $9.00 from the vital statistics office.  It was not Joanne's responsibility to notify the lawyer if she was not the executrix, but it wasn't her money to begin with now was it.  The Power of Attorney expires upon the death of the decedent, therefore from the moment that man passed away Joanne's rights to any money on account of her having power of attorney had lapsed!

I read this stuff from Pilchesky and I think it's some kind of poorly written movie script...like a bizarre combination of "Taxi Driver" meets "The World According to Garp" with a little bit of "JFK" mixed in for the conspiratorial fun.  Then it gets even creepier (if that's even possible) when I realize that some people actually believe what he is writing.

It looks like all that legal mumbo jumbo Atty Pilcheski was spewing about getting acquitted was all DENIED on 26 May.  The court also tacked on the court costs bringing the bill to $168,000.  On 29 May (anyone remember how quiet it was on DD last Friday, Joe's only comment came at 3 am) Edith posted bail.  I wonder if the Vett was used to secure the bail bond. 

I hope she runs and Dog the bounty hunter has to go after her!

According to this light reading on Prison 101, the felon once convicted is granted time to get her affairs in order before incarceration by posting bail.

She is still awaiting an appeal. What has been denied is all of her requests such as, contesting the fines and restitution, asking the jury verdict be tossed, changing judges, etc. She, unfortunately, was allowed bail pending appeal. The appeal should be heard sometime later this year. She's buying time, nothing more. But, here's a prediction the PUKEboy should make and it would definitely come true: Soon enough, baldy will be without The Shadow...err... the beast... err, Edith! Count on it, 25 months to 7 years!!!!!

Thanks Stacy.

In a bizarre sort of way this is worse than immediately going to "the slammer" because in the back of her head she has to realize that all the appeal stuff will fail and she will end up in some State Correctional Facility.  As Stacy said, this just buying time.  If it were me (well first I wouldn't steal from a dead parent...) I would just want to get it over with.

Here's to Edith waking up every morning realizing that she is one day closer to incarceration.

It seems prison isn't the only concern. Sources today said the Snyder family (the people whose actions apparently led to her conviction, the family the court believed) has won a huge judgement against her and, since the Sunset Street house is all in her name, they have placed a lien on it and will act soon to take possession of the property to satisfy the judgement. Anybody got a guest house?

GUEST HOUSE ??? She'll be locked up in Erie. And all joey boy has to do is crook his little finger in the blonde's direction and he'll be playing footsie in the master suite while the whacko husband camps out in the basement next to the furnace. Don'tchu worry about joey -- he'll have his vette parked in that blondes driveway in no time at all.
