If I'm not mistaken Gatelli gets paid whether she attends a meeting or not. In a way, it's much like Frank Shimkus and his per diem abuse. Although Gatelli never ran on a platform of government reform, she did tailgate DiBileo and Evans in an attempt to show voters that she was the 'people's' candidate.

The city has been in distressed status since Gatelli first was elected. We now have a national economic crisis. How much does Judy Gatelli care about her neighbors, her constituents, and her community? Is it on par with Frank Shimkus' concern about his neighbors, his constituents, and his community when he filed for 27 unwarranted per diems?

Is it right that Judy Gatelli take payment for the inordinate number of meetings she has missed since she was first elected?

FYI: The very latest, last week Edith's motion to have evidence against her suppressed was DENIED. Trial is set for March.

Funny, Pilchesky never misses a chance to update the troops on his courtroom exploits...that is as long as those courtroom exploits involve someone else's family.

OMG .... You are toooooo funny ... March can't come soon enough ... I just hope that there are no more contiunances! I know that if I were Edith I would want to get this ugliness behind me ... pay the price for my crime ... make restitution and get on with my life! Not have my idiot husband drag it through the courts for almost 2 years trying to make a deal ... she could have done her time by now and been just about finised with her parole ... but no ... I didn't paste the picture from "the Shadow" because it's pretty G*& D*&^ disgusting.

If you ever wanted to know the difference between this board and DD, if you ever needed an example of why Joe Pilchesky and his wife Edith are classless bullies, this is it. For example, in as much as I don't think Janet Evans is a good public servant and is a hypocrit, I'd never sit by if someone posted a cartoon about her with that kind of sexual induendo.

Please, please...someone defend this nonsense. Please try to defend a graphic showing a wife, mother and grandmother about to perform oral sex. Come on all you DD posters who view here...please do post here and tell me why this is in any way appropriate "satire". Glenn, David...come on...let's go...speak up for Joe and Edith on this one.

DD posters like "Hardcore"...you proud of that cartoon buddy? Do you really want to be associated with that? What if it was your sister, wife, daughter, mother, grandmother that in the picture?

I'm really, really amazed by all of this.

There are people in my company that I think are not trustworthy, who make incredibly bad decisions, who engage in favoritism all the time, squander the company's resources, harm the company's stock price (which harms me) etc...all of the things that the DD crew throw at Judy Gatelli...but yet I could never conceive of STOOPING SO LOW as to imply they engage in lewd sexual acts. Yes, she is fair game for criticism, but come on, is there not some basic line of propriety?

As for Edith being the "Shadow", maybe she is, maybe she isn't. But you know what? SHE Posted that filth, so in my mind she might as well be the creator.

I'm still waiting for someone to defend that horrible crap.

Well ... I just find it very interesting that the Shadow can post on his/her own, but when it comes to posting these disgusting pictuess that he/she creates ... well they only get posted by Joanne ... I just find that very odd. It's not like posting a picture is very difficult here on the sparklit boards.

I agree with you that no matter what I think of my co-workers ... I would never create such a peice of filth and post it on the internet about that person ... This one is quite disgusting ... Joanne should be ashamed of herself for posting it .... but then again why would someone who would steal from their dying father ... and think that it's ok to do that ... feel shame about anything they do in their life.

It just goes back to why, I think, many of us really have a problem with Pilchesky & ilk: I, for one, don't have a problem with his basic underlying goal: government that is transparent, accountable, etc. What I do have a problem with his is insistence on requiring ego-gratification and "anything goes" tactics. For me, there are such things as moral absolutes.

Joanne has been assigned a public defender for her trial. The public defender is asking for an extension and wants to put the trial off. Hearing Friday.

So let me get this straight...

...he hastens of thousands of dollars to pi$$ away on his lawsuit habit
...he has a Corvette
...he has a Harley
...they have a house in her name

...and yet they need a PD???? There is something surprisingly wrong sounding to that; maybe I don't know how the Criminal Justice system works, but why should the public pay for her defense if they seem to have substantial assets at their disposal?

On another vein, I can't believe that they will get YET ANOTHER delay. It smells like they have had this planned all along.

Disappointing...to say the least.

On another note, do you suppose Joe will mention anything about the trail to his loyal followers?  After all, they have to be interested in this, right?
