The same way that electronic voting scared a couple people? There are enough voters who simply refuse to be held accountable for their actions, which is why there'll be a line at the sharpener in a few weeks. There was nothing difficult about touching a screen to vote for a candidate, yet the voter claimed nonsense issues like no paper trail, viruses, etc. There were no paper trails in the previous hundred or so elections since the 1930s, but that never seemed to matter. Since we're now caving into irrational fears and taking several steps backwards, I imagine the conspiracy theorists will simply question the certification for the Number 2 pencils. I mean, how can we really be sure they're not No. 3 pencils?
Eventualy, the voter is going to have to be held accountable, not the method of voting.
Pfft. What, did you have good parents or something? We shall not be held accountable, nor shall the politicians we elect. I have no idea what that means, I just wanted to write something after the word Pfft.
I think that the paper ballots will cause a problem on election day ... there more than likely will be a very low voter turn out that day. The people don't seem to like change ... but sometimes change is unavoidable.
Now this is my question concerning these machines ... if they are not certified for this election ... then were they certified for the past elections that they were used in ... did we have a legal election or do they need to be certified each and every time they are used?
How many times have we used them now ... two primarys and one general ... or have we been using them longer than that? And were these elections legal and were the machines certified for these elections ... has anyone else been wondering about that or is it just me?

Vendor Advanced Voting Solutions confirmed Thursday that it will not proceed with the federal testing necessary for its touch-screen machines to be used again in Pennsylvania.

Are these machines being returned ... are we going to get a refund on these machines ... and I thought there was some sort of state penalty ... if I remember correctly ... for not having electronic voting machines in place by a certain date ... are we now going to be exempt from these penalties because the company does not want to have the machines tested?
There are many questions surrounding these machines ... and again are the elections that the machines were used for in the past legal? If they are not certified now ... were they certified then?
