I've listened to Giovanni Piccolino speak at council. It didn't take long to realize the he's not educated. I hatched this plan from there. Motive - find out if Piccolino would sell out. To effect this devious plan, I needed Piccolino to come here. I had a friend put up a post challenging him to do so. Hmmm, his sister, Maria, responded (not that anyone really believed that Maria was really his sister, but I digress). Not what I was looking for. Posts were then put up that we didn't want to hear from Maria, but from her brother. Actually, the poster Fletch did that not knowing the role he was playing in this plan (thanks Fletch). Bingo. Piccolino registered and put up a post responding to criticism of him. It was an absolutely autrocious post in a literal sense (I'm sure no offense was intended, Granma and Sam), and it fit into the plan perfectly. I edited it, (as indicated) making about 18 corrections to the post for spelling, punctuation and sentence construction. While doing that, he put up another brief post, which again, I edited by replacing the whole post using his name and password.

...I offered to post on Piccolino's behalf. I offered to be Giovanni Piccolino to handle the challenging interactions with other posters (and kill a political career before it even begins. He has a "rep" to protect, and it's easier to kill a career in its infancy, rather than one that's a couple months old. Just like it's easier to kick the ass of a two year old rather than a 50 year old.). During that time, a few posts went up challenging Piccolino to expose his stance on various issues. Actually, Glenn Cashuric hit him several hard questions. A few more posts followed asking Piccolino his postion on other various sensitive issues. I had my wife contact Piccolino and advise him not to respond to the posts, explaining to him that the answers to the questions had to be articulated approriately on an intellectual level. I told him I'd do it for him. He agreed. Then, he called me back, asking if he could just respond to the question City Haul put up regarding the mayor creating new positions. I told him he could not respond, and that essentially, I will be Giovanni Piccolino from now until the election. If I could take over Giovanni Piccolino's identity, he's a man without dignity, integrity or self-esteem. Actually, he's a man without identlty. To put it bluntly, he can easily be manipulated and positioned where other people want him. If I could manipulate him to deceptively advance his political benefit using no money or other considerations of monetary value, what happens if the money or some deal hits the table? I extend my humble apologies to Glenn Cashuric, City Haul and Fletch, but finding out the truth about the candidate named Giovanni Piccolino outweighed some necessary deception on my part.

Mr. Piccolino, you are a fraud (and Joe, more than anyone else, knows a fraud when he sees one. He sees at least one or two every morning). You are unworthy of any public trust. I want those signs off your building. Get your fraudulent, unworthy ass down to the courthouse and petition the court to withdraw. Go away (Or he'll sue you, unsuccessfully.He swears!)

Hey ... I was just going to post that one ... you beat me to it ...

How about that ... and people think we restrict what they say here by deleting a post ... I can honestly say that I have never logged in and used someone's member name to put up a false post ... I have to say that that may be something that could bring Pilchesky a pile of trouble as he intentionally ruined Piccilino's political career ... that one may lead him up the steps of the courthouse ... I'm glad you got that one Paul!

We have been saying since the day we started this site that the only freedom of speech in Pilchesky's world is for those who agree with him ... this is proof ... and I would think that this action would lose him a poster or two hundred as he has proven that he does not protect them but uses them ... how many others have had this done to them? Makes me wonder ... hmmmmmmm

Ok ... I know ... I keep posting and posting on this one ... but this whole thing is blowing my mind ... they are upset with Piccilino ... but not with Joe ... are you Fu<king kidding me ... How do we know that Joe really had Piccilino's permission to post ... he already made the statement that he used his account and password ... so how do we know that the PM's he claims to have gotten from Piccilino stating that this was ok were really not written by Joe himself ... we don't ...

Now the posters are thanking Joe for doing this ... how stupid are these dolts??? I knew that they had a blind devotion to Pukechesky ... but this is absolutely rediculous ... this is something that Stacy Brown should make public ...

A man has to be his own man, no matter what intelligence or skills he may or may not have. I don't really know what to make of this. What would you think of a guy you are dating who told you he was a professional of some kind and later on you found out he isn't? Men who cheat on their wives have a lot of practice lying to girlfriends about not having a wife of children or where they live. There's nothing more attractive to most people than someone being who they say they are. It's appreciated and respected. There's nothing more offensive than people wanting to make people think you're something you are not, and that's especially true in an election. Just be who you are. Look at all the trouble Mr. Cordaro had by lying about his finances. Wow. If Mr. Piccolino has very poor writing skills, he shouldn't participate in a place where those writing skills will be put on display. Disturbing. I'm happy this part of Mr. Piccolino has surfaced, but not happy that it had to happen.

Painful to read. All of it. I don't know what to think.
I too want to see McGoff defeated. I have to agree with Glen that he will win along with Courtright and I agree with Joe and others that the only way to defeat McGoff is to get one of the republicans out of the race.
As much as Joe is getting supported and ridiculed over this, I think Piccolino is done. Maybe he should get out of the race. I still think it will be hard to overcome McGoff's candidacy. I think he's a zero and a rubberstamper, but he'll be hard to beat. I've had the opportunity to hear Rogan speak. He's a nice kid. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks. Maybe it will get clearer as the process proceeds.

I know that you are not around to judge ... you have mead that statement a multitude of times ... but I must say that I am very disappointed at your take on this ... you don't think what Joe did is wrong ... you don't see Joe having a big part ... evil part in this whole thing ... I can't imagine having the attitude that ... "Oh Well ... Joe did a great service ..." He didn't ... what he does and will continue to do is not a service to this town ... it is terrible what he's done ... and it only goes to show that the posters over there are cult like ... he is a Jim Jones ... drink the Kool Aide type of guy ... do what I tell you and everything will be ok ...

This is why I (and others) think that Shari/Bo is Dave Gervasi or Nancy Krake. Why? Because there is this air of "management = evil", which translates in a practical sense to "I will not say anything bad about someone who harms the other side" in Shari/Bo's postings. No disrepsect to unions or union members, but you see that kind of thing amond some union folks. One of the things that has harmed the union movement in this country is the belief on the part of some union leaders that the ends always justify the means. In reality, they don't.

The reality, as I see it, is this: When someone in front of you commits evil, I believe that we have a moral obligation to stand up against it...even if the person committing the evil may be helping us in some way. Failing to take a stand against evil is no different than participating in it yourself; you in essence become a silent partner. Now someone could say "what about Doherty, isn't he evil?", to which I'd say this: mismanaging government isn't a sign of evil, it's a sign of incompetence. Contrast that to Pilchesky's world, which is full of evil:

...wishing AIDS on people
...using the children and grandchildren of elected officials as cannon balls
...making completely unsubstantiated claims about elected officials (such as them keeping someone in jail)
...blaming a suicide on an elected official
...and I could go on

When I see Doherty, I see someone with a lot of talent who has made some very bad decisions. When I see Pilchesky, I see someone who just wants to hurt other people, simply because it makes his ego feel better. Bo/Shari may be okay with turning a blind eye to that, but I can't. That's not how I was raised, and I think the same is true for just about everyone else on this board.

I know Shari, there goes someone else judging you again, and to that I say "so be it". Personally I welcome judgement...I want others to see where I stand, how I conduct myself, and where my moral character lies. Yes, I am that confident in it. If you don't, that's ok, but I firmly believe that every day we are given an opportunity to show the world who we are and what we stand for, whether by our overt acts or by our omissions. Why is that so important? Well, as the late, great John Lennon once wrote:

Yes, I understand, but.....
In 1991, I saw and read about tanks running over thousands of Iraqi soldiers because we were there to protect the interests of a rich family and their oil wells. I didn't like that either, but would I not defend our troops on the front lines? Of course not. My soldiers are much more important than theirs regardless of why they're there. Our elected leaders put us in situations we cannot control and sometimes painful issues arise that we don't like. We always turn a blind eye to painful situations because most times, we cannot control them and just have to deal with it.
On a much smaller scale, it's the same thing here. This town is being destroyed and I and you are paying for it. People are fighting back in various ways. As in all wars, there's collateral damage. I don't like it, but so be it. I cannot control that.
Obviously, DD has made an impact. Since we never had a free flow of information about our government, or the only information we were fed, was information a certain few allowed us to see, Joe's message board was a breath of fresh air. (and a long time coming). So is yours. The only thing I disagree with here is the fact that all of you (in my opinion) are wasting your precious time on a man who doesn't effect your city directly like our elected officials can.
That's your business, not mine. I've acquiesced to your wishes but I feel your efforts can be much more useful. That's just my opinion.
Aga, I'm flattered I guess, being accused of being Evans, Krake, Gervasi, Stulgis and others but again, things are not always what they seem.

Now that comparison ... is just crazy ... I'm sorry but it's crazy ...

Pilchesky is not fighting a war against a man who ordered the deaths of millions .... there is no comparison.

And if you never try to change anything ... you need to open your eyes and not say that why should I do anything ... it won't change no matter what I do ... instead you need to say ... even if I make the smallest difference or no difference I can take satisfaction in the fact that I tried.

I could have slunk away when Joe banned me ... but I wanted to make a difference ... I wanted to express my opinion and call them on some of the things that they were saying ... and well here we are today talking about this in a forum that I do not own ... but one that I started in order to make a difference no matter how small that difference is ... I can be content with the fact that at least I tried!

but to adress your oscar comment ... I would like to thank my moderators ... because they have made it possible to accept this oscar today! Without them this place would not have lasted this long! And I would like to thank the membership and especially Shari ... she nominated me for this award!

I look at it this way: if I saw a balding, angry, older man picking on a lady and her family out in public, I would certainly stop and help. If I read about a balding, angry, older man picking on a lady and her family on the internet, I consider it my responsibility to help as well.

Ag ... Shari does not feel that same sense of responsibility ... she really does not understand why we started PD ... nor does she care ... she is a follower of Pilchesky so we didn't really think she would ever stand up to the bully on the playground did we?

I myself have always been they type to help when I could ... to befriend those who others picked on ... it's like I said earlier ... it's the way I was raised ... I'm not saying shari had a bad upbringing ... but obviously she was not taught that the feelings of others count ... and that there is not one person walking on this earth that is better and more important than another ... luckily that's the way my parents raised me ... I thank them both for that ... and I love them both for that!

This place can make one vote = two. Every vote taken off McGoff, for example, and given to Rogan, becomes a two vote spread. It depends on what's going on. What's nice about DD is that it's open 24/7.


I just love how they call what happened Piccolino's charade ... now maybe I'm wrong ... but didn't Little Joey admit to posing as Piccolino?
