RE: Maria Piccolino steps up to the plate Youre right Fletch I am new when it comes to Politics. I mean I only have a B.S. degree from the U of S with a minor in Political Science. I only worked at the Dept. of Homeland Security for 3 years, was a member of the Regional Interagency Steering committee , the Consequent Management Sub-Committee for the Republican National Convention and was responsible for holding one of the biggest Counter-terrorism forums in NYC The Senior Leaders Homeland Security Summit. I also worked on Eric Gioias campaign to elect him to NYC council in the Queens district..So I do know something about politics.I think NYC govt. and the FederalGovt. are a bit tricker than Scranton politics. So, I highly doubt anything that I write in this forum will damage my brothers reputation in any way.
The only thing that was verifiable is that Gioia is actually a NYC councilman. See how difficult it is to find a "Consequent Management Sub-Committee" or the "Senior Leaders Homeland Security Summit." It seems to me that if either of these positions were as big a deal as she implies they should be, it wouldn't be that difficult to find something about them on line.
I did find out that a Maria Piccolino apparently worked for Neuberger Berman at one point, until rather recently, though. Didn't seem to have anything at all to do with politics, however. Go ahead, Google it yourselves and see why that is interesting...maybe it's really just nothing; a mere coincidence. Stranger things have happened, I guess.
It's right there on the internets, though, and I'm free to interpret it. As they say across the hall, you can't make this sh!t up.
I want everyone to stop and think about one thing ... Joe Pilchesky is not a lawyer ... he's just a guy playing a lawyer on the internet. Please don't trust your legal needs to this man.

Girlfriend needs a little cranial adjustment. Honey, simply by association and this one single post, you have not only sullied your brother's reputation, but you have successfully put the kaibash on any chance of him having a political career.
Sheesh - if my chances of having such a sister were in the cards, I'm glad I wound up an only child.
I'm pretty much in agreement with Atty. Cashuric's take on the race.
It seems like free publicity for the pizza shopis all. Short term stuff.
And the whole "McGoff lied about not running" crap seems to be an issue only on that board. Big effin' deal. The man changed his mind. So what?? It's NOT the same as lying. Those idiots really need to get a slight grip on reality.
