FOR years we have been hearing that JOEY will be speaking at the podium. NEVER DID. Now he insists he will be there. I say NO he will not be there, because he is weak. What do you think??? It's easier for him to be a bully at home then in public.

As long as the cameras are plugged in and broadcasting, the attention whore will be at the podium. He'll then bitch about The Times' lack of coverage for his publicity stunt the next day. You can almost set your watch to that guy.

Hopefully, they adopt a rule stating that anyone with a pending lawsuit against City Council or any member thereof is barred from speaking before said council until the lawsuit is concluded. Naturally, such a rule would only pass 4-1, right Janet? E-mail me your thoughts on that one...

I don't know if he will Paul ... how many times have we read that he was going to speak ... and then when we were watching ... he didn't ... many times that I can recall ... he's hells bells behind the keyboard ... but I don't think he will speak. And I certainly don't think he's going to serve Gatelli with lawsuits during the meeting.

Hell I'm still waiting for the process server ... do you know how much tea I go through waiting every day ...

I agree Paul, that would mean "paperboy" would be away also.

I don't think the bald idiot has the guts to tell council to there face what he really thinks. I think he is WEAK when speaking in public. I witnessed one of his court apearances and he sweats like the pig he is when he has to speak publicly.

Here is my prediction: He will show up and he will speak.

He's hyped it up too much now to back out. Besides, it's good for the flock get a glimpse of the god every once in while...keeps them faithful. What Pilchesky doesn't realize though is that, while he can control everything in the world-o-Joe (DD), he doesn't have that same level of control when it comes to the camera in council chambers. Yes...

...he can't after-the-fact edit his council speech
...he can't simply ban someone on council who disagrees with him
...he can't retroactively delete his speech if it becomes an embarrassment

So I hope that Joe goes for it, as it will only harm is own "cause".

It's just common sense. If I sued you for something, chances are that the attorneys would mandate that all contact between ourselved, if avoidable, be made through or in the presence of our attorneys. If we passed each other in the supermarket, that's one thing, accidental and unavoidable. Joe's "promise" to speak at Council is totally unecessary and avoidable.

It's not a violation of his rights to bar him from the podium while the suit is pending. He has the right to sue council, no one's denying it, but for that right he forfeited his right to address council while doing so. He wants to have his cake and eat it, too.

Eat this, old man...

I guess I am skeptical as to his speaking ... he often says that he's going to go to the podium ... and then when the time comes ... he does not do it ... he always comes up with some excuse to feed to the sheep as to why he was not able to speak ... my guess would be that he will have to make an appearance in Harrisburgh ... and well ... you can't tell the people in Harrisburgh that you can't make it because you have to speak at a Council meeting!

What excuse do you all think he will come up with?

I am shocked, amazed, (and rather good looking,but I digress) by this because she wouldn't lie......right?
