Seems Gatelli's not against ALL borrowing. Ozzie is a hero of mine. Sam and Joe P are heroes of mine too.

I'll tell you this from the bottom of my heart. No disrespect to Jim Davis. I don't have an aunt in this town that you can tear down her house. I don't run from racists. --- Sam Patilla
Let's see:
Ozzie Quinn - I don't know the man, but I do know two things about him: 1. He ran the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity, which seemed to vaporize after that breeding family was exposed as clients. 2. He runs a so-called taxpayers association where in order to become a member, you have to be approved by the group, which just happens to be chock-full-O- Pilchesky sheep. I don't suppose they would let me join, huh?
Sam Patilla - Yes, a man who in his 30's (I am guessing here on the age...) is a paperboy. Oh, and who is on disability...in this 30's mind you. Funny, but he seems to move around that podium rather well. Oh, but he "stood up to the man"! Nope...Rosa Parks "stood up to the man" and did it for all the right reasons and in a dignified manner. Dignified isn't in Patilla's vocabulary, as clearly shown in his council rants. Patilla is a guy with too much time on his hands, looking to become something more than he is capable of ever becomming. My suggestion to Sam: if you want to be something, first go out and get an education.
Joe Pilchesky - A bitter old man who sues people for a living, surrounded by an enabling wife (Edith) and a small band of followers. Incapable of actually holding office himself (due to a felony conviction), he instead contents himself by trashing the names and families of those who do hold office and are guilty of the high crime of...disagreeing with Joe.
Gee, I wonder who just missed Anti/Grinch's list? Let me guess: Benito Mussolini, Karl Marx, and David Koresh?
As for my heros...well, here goes:
My Mom - Who raised four sons all on her own, working nights while living in a housing project. All of us are grown now and we all have jobs (and we all were paperboys...in our teens mind you) and none of us are regular City Council speakers, so I'd say she did good work.
Mother Teresa - Someone who gave all she had for those who had absolutely nothing.
My Late Father-In-Law (Bob K.) - Who in many ways was more like a father to me than my own father. I learned a lot from Bob...both from a practical sense (he showed me how to wire a home electrical circuit) and from a not-so-practical sense (what it really means to be a father).

I can see (in some twisted parallel universe) how someone may appreciate the mind-set of Joe Pilcheski, but to call him a hero? No. Most of the time, he sticks his schnoz in where it doesn't belong, only to have the taxpayers pay for any and all consequences.
Ozzie Quinn? What the hell is there to worship? Ozzie is some washed up has been who is trying to tread water on one good deed from years ago.
Sam Patilla? Please -- the great white stallion he imagines he is riding in on to save "Mother Scranton" is the raggety old swayback of Joe Pilcheski. As per usual, Patilla rides into infamy on the coat tails of someone else. This guy is a user
Damn Art that was my list!! Geez first everyone else gets to be Joe Brazil before me, then Paul uses that awful avator which made my eyes bleed, now you steal my hero's list. lol lol lol
From the gutter of that racist pig AntiSemiticMovements postings...
Men make their own history, but they do not make it just as they please...but under circumstances... trasmitted from the past. The tradition of all the dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brain of the living. -- Karl Marx
Personally I'm more of a fan of the other Marx...Groucho...especially when you consider what the spawn of Karl did following his philosophies:
Pol Pot, communist leader of Cambodia: 2 million killed (out of a total population of 7 million)
Chairman Mao Zedong, communist leader of China: 3 - 5 million killed
Josef Stalin, communist leader of the Soviet Union: 20 million killed
Yupp, quite the hero Anti has, don't you think?
