Pilchesky's name banned at Times-Tribune? Must be. Why else have they repeatedly mentioned Cordaro being tossed off the ballot by the Supreme Court, like 20 times, and not once mentioning who did it to him? Last week Joanne Pilchesky filed an action to have Kenny McDowell removed from the ballot and not a word was printed in the paper. My neighbor also told me that the Times has a little community board where controlled subjects are discussed and if you type in Joe Pilchesky's name, it comes up as a curse word, all asterisks. Wow. What is going on? The voters should know that McDowell is under attack again, and why. This is the most unethical thing the paper has even do in such a blatant manner. What are they so afraid of?
RE: Pilchesky's name banned at Times-Tribune? There has to be a compliment in there somewhere. I won't be so insensitive, when I start putting out my bi-weekly paper, I'll be sure to mention the name Lynett. It can't help itself since they're married at the hip to corruption in the NE region The Times-Tribune is the political cancer that ails all of us, not just the political scum we know as Doherty, Mellow and Gatelli. The paper is the true enemy of the people, the betrayer who guides corrupt thieves like Doherty to victory. Cancel the paper. Why suffer the insult of having it thrown on your porch? And, when you see Stacy Brown, you are looking at the hand of the betrayer.
Losing the last shred of credibility they have left.

Again here we have rumor ... I don't know that it is true and I don't know that it is not true ... but what I would have done if I wanted to post that about the Pilchesky name being a "curse word" I would have gone to this site and signed up ... and then typed it in to see what came up ... if it's true ... I think it's the funniest thing I have ever heard ...
Haven't you been promising that bi-weekly publication for almost a year now Joe ... when is that going to happen ... I know tomorrow ... funny thing about tomorrow Joe ... it never comes ... just like that paper you have been promising ... Hey I hope you get more subscribers than you got for the Times Leader ...
I can't wait for Stacy Brown to address some of the things you and your posters say about him ... I can't believe how rude you all are to him ... not everyone sees the truth that you all fabricate ... some of us see the truth as it really is.
I watch council meetings and well I have to say that my take on them are so much different than that of the DD'ers and the Doomers ... but to each his own I guess.
Again I can't wait for Stacy Brown to address you all!

Times-Tribune search engine out????? Looks to me at least that we are unable to search their archives thru the site. Maybe the fact that we all are able to use their articles against them so often has it turned off?
This is so funny ... can you imagine ... the TT is afraid of the 100 people who use multiple names at DD ... I don't think they get how insignificant they really are ... but I have to say that they are giving me a hell of a belly laugh this morning ... What a joke to think that they are that important!

It further demonstrates Mr. Pilchesky's undying desire to see his name in print. I signed up to this board simply to respond one time to the hate, rhetoric and nonsense that he and his (David Koresh/Jim Jones-like) followers spew. He has referred to me as Uncle Tom and other things and, just like in the days of slavery, he has a couple of black men siding and kissing up to him. Seems to me they are the one's saying "Yasser Boss" to "the white man." What's funny is, every time I see Pilchesky, he walks up to me shakes my hand andwe havepleasant conversation. What's also funny is, when he and I have spoken about stories I've reported on, he has almost always told me he thought it was fair and good. When I've asked him then why is it that he says something different on his board, he says something to the affect that he has to set an example for his followers. The bigger joke is the constant call among the 25 to 30 people who post there to cancel the paper. Fact is, and they've long proven this, they cannot and will not live without the Times-Tribune. At least half come in and pay their bills at the paper, while the others pay the paper boy (one being a certain controversial DD poster). Another fact is this: they have continued to fail to realize that nothing, absolutely nothing they say can bother me. I've been on the other side of bigger and much more venomous attacks by those with as much power as Pilchesky and his minions probably dream every single night of having. Yet, I remained undaunted and this, in Scranton, is supposed to deter me? Someone said he wrote my career will never be the same or is done because of my job at the Times-Tribune. Lame. I've won a number of awards at The LA Times,MSNBC and have won some AP awards and in house awards here. since I've been here, I've been offered- and turned down- jobs at MTV News, An NBC affiliate and two big city newspapers. I don't believe I would give up the Times-Tribune for another media outlet. This is an outstanding family company, best I've worked for and- in the words of Judy Gatelli- "I'm not going anywhere.."
Good for you Stacy! Damn shame you even have to address the racial issues brought up at that site. I've met many people who came to this area from bigger and better things - they all seem to enjoy the quality of life here. Why that doesn't apply to you in the eyes of the dd.com goons is beyond me. Belated welcome to the area, and welcome to this board. I hope we hear from you again. You're a class act.
I also wish to add my welcome and good job to you Mr. Brown. While I know those goons do not now nor have they ever represented my (or my friend's, family, and community's) point of view, I feel they have unfortunatly given all of us a bad name by their behavior. So in light of that please allow me to apologize to you and your family for the disgusting and vile things said about you by those goons. I hope you know that vast majority of people do not feel the way they do and that we are proud to have you and your family as part of our community. Hope to hear from you again. While we love to make fun of those goons, we also love a good debate on current issues, without the vile comments naturally. LOL LOL
OH and as to this comment in your post Mr. Brown

Where I come from we call that having "beer balls", the person is always a big tough guy when they have a few in them and the object of their ire is far far away without any possiblity of hearing them.
The truth is...Joey is nothing more thana school yard bully and a coward. You of course, already knew that and more I am sure. Sad thing is Joey doesn't know it.He also has no clue how much of a fool he is making himself look like and his family with him, sad very very sad.

Stacy, why does Joe get any press at all? What does he do that's truly newsworthy? Blind squirrels find nuts all the time, but it's never gotten anyone a by-line.
When a drunken fan rushes onto the playing field, rarely is he ever shown on camera or even acknowledged until long after security has leveled him and "put away". When the old man files one of his thrice weekly lawsuits, why is that given any more attention than "dog bites man" stories? His predictability is no longer surprising or newsworthy to anyone anymore. Devoting column inches to that nutjob does little more than "legitimize" him. The same argument can be used about this board, I suppose. We're small time, though.
On the other hand, why doesn't the Times do an "expose" of sorts? Maybe a feature article chronicling his carpentry business, alleged football career, pugilistic endeavors, failed marriages, legal career, the real story sort of thing? Give that mo-fo all the press he can handle, and then some...
I can imagine that a dozen heads will explode when confronted with the moral dilemma of whether to purchase "The Fishwrap" that day or let the issue with their hero sit unpurchased. His pride dictates that that edition might be the biggest selling issue to date.
And does anyone know if Sam Patilla will take time out of his busy days to hand deliver this bi-weekly repository of information that the old man will be pinching out, eventually? Will he be the one to slap it around....I mean slap it onto my doorstep?
::: ... Give that mo-fo all the press he can handle, and then some...::: I say The Times should "Have At It". And our little paperboy Sam can deliver that particular edition of the paper to Joe's front door.
I would venture a guess that question was the consideration for banning his name from their site. Why would they give free access to him and all of his minions harping endlessly about him? Makes sense to me. Either that or preemptive strike to avoid the inevitable lawsuit.
He'd sue them if the paper wasn't on his porch when he woke up...
It just seems that by turning him into He Who's Name Shall Not Be Mentioned, it's sort of just giving him more noteriety. At least in his own eyes. I guess my question is along the lines of why give him press coverage for doing what amounts to "his job". I mean, I got into work and had three reports done by 10. No one from the Times called me for a quote.
What he's doing just isn't news anymore. His rhetoric is almost becoming white noise. Kind of like a 20 minute Janet Evans monologue before she decides on the turkey club over the tuna melt for lunch today. (Sources indicated Doherty was in a tuna mood...)
I would guess his "newsworthy" days are behind him at this point. They covered him at first but as you have all mentioned, at this point it is just more of the same, and no longer newsworthy.

Welcome Stacy, and even if your post really was a one-time-only event, I'm glad that you took the time to post here.
One observation: Finding contradictions in the world-o-Pilchesky is like finding drunks on the street after the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Pilchesky himself is a walking contradiction...
...he seems to despise the local judges, but yet he probably gets a volume discount on court filing fees ...he encourages "give me all the dirt on..." postings, but don't dare to even mention a negative thing about Janet Evans (such as the dubious manner in which she got her full-time teaching job) ...he has allowed postings about the daughter and granddaughter of Judy Gatelli, but will not allow postings about the husband of Janet Evans ...he bows to Police and Firefighter union heads but then allows posters, such as that RACIST PIG AntiSemiticMovements, to claim that Scranton is full of racist cops
Why all the contradictions? As mentioned by others, this is a classic case of the school yard bully that is now becoming a shriveled-up old man. He can't physcially intimidate others anymore, so now he has to resort to a message board and the court system to do that work for him. The problem is that, unlike kids on a grade-school playground, adults tend to fight back.

All we need is some geeky little guy who has had E-NOUGH to take this bully out back of the schoolyard at three o'clock, squinck his eyes up good and tight and pop the bastard just once in the chops. He may not run home crying to mommy, but it would sure feel GOOD.
Stacy I was hoping that you would address a few more issues ... but I understand that it probably isn't the best idea for you to post ... you must remain impartial ... please feel free to address an issue at any time ... and thank you for your post.
I really wish you would comment on what is going on with the harrassing letters being sent by Mr. David Evans ... husband of Councilwoman Janet Evans ... but I understand if you can't.
