I wantedto get some of your opinons on if Mayor Doherty where to run again where you may stand. With full support from City DEms and people like Gov Scranton urgiing city R's to vote for him I think he could get re-re elected. I know DD makes it sound like he would never get more than 100 votes but like everything else they say i dissagree. Who would run that would give him a challenge. JAnet Evens? I highly doubt she could pull off a win over Doherty. What do you guys think?

I have np with him running again. Don't always agree or disagree with him. So unless someone really attractive (and I have no idea who that might be at this point) comes along I would vote for him again.

My voting for Doherty would depend on who he was running against.

Janet Evans...I'd vote Doherty; hell, I'd vote for a dead dog for mayor before I'd cast a vote for that woman. Her overt and covert support for Pilchesky, the LoD and DD makes me want to vomit. I'll take it one step further...if she does run for mayor, I will do everything I can to help her opponent, whoever that may be.

Gary DiBileo...I'd vote Doherty. DiBileo should be scientifically classified as an invertebrate for his actions relative to the construction of Scranton High School.

Bob Bolus...Is a convicted felon (like Joe Pilckesky, btw), so why even entertain the thought?

Brian Reap...From what I gather he may not be all that interested in the job, but I'd seriously consider voting for him as opposed to Chris Doherty. He seems very level headed and I like the fact that he's got a lot of private sector leadership experience.

Bill Courtright...I'd vote Doherty. Way too much pandering to outrageous speakers during council meetings, way too much denial when it comes to DD.

Judy Gatelli...I'd vote Doherty. I like Ms Gatelli, but I don't know that she has the constitution for the job. Even Pilchesky has begrudgingly conceded that he's rarely able to get under Doherty's skin.

Doherty runs again so he's mayor when the arbitration case is decided and the med school is built. He wants those feathers in his cap - then it's on to Congress or Mellow's seat if Mellow runs for governor.

I can not think of anyone in the local political arena who would run against Doherty and get my vote. Just as Ihave said above - I don't always agree with everything he has done - but damn it all to hell, any of the other candidates mentioned above can not hold a candle to Chris Doherty.

Brian Reap - cripes, he was a pain in the ass when he was on council. He had mayoral aspirations then and he didn't get very far.

And Bolus? When he passes the basket at church, I keep my envelopes to myself and hand them to Msgr. after mass.

Courtright has only partially removed his head from Janet's arse. Maybe when it's only the tip of his nose up there, I'll consider him.

If for no other reason (and I can't think of any other reason that I'd vote for him, honestly), Doherty gets my vote simply to cancel out an Evans vote. If Doherty winds up winning by one vote, you'll want to ask Sorvino to handle the statue you'll no doubt commission of me.

I would vote for Doherty again ... like IHave ... I don't like everything hes done ... but I don't hate what he had done either ... so I would have to say considering who else may run ... namely Janut Evans ... I would vote Doerty!

What ever happened to that lady who spoke at council before the last election. She would always refer to him as mayor Daw-her-tee. Haven't seen her since the election.

I have no problem with the guy and like him personally, but I do not believe he will win a third term. The taxincreases will be an overriding factor. However, Janet and Gary splitting the anti-Chris votes can be a mitigating factor here.

Congress - Luzerne County and Monroe County will never allow the mayor of Scranton to take the seat. In any event, the districtwill almost certainly be redrawn mischievously by the Rs in the legislature.

State Senate - Sorry, this spot has been reserved for Commissioner O'Brien. Bob Mellow knows this as well. That's why he's planning an escape run for governor.

If Chris needed a job (which he does not), a county row office can be had for hima la the Kenny route. Otherwise, I don't see where the opportunities are.

My condolences Mrs. Moran on the passing of your beloved husband ... my heart (believe it or not) truly goes out to you and your family in this time of grief.

As for Pee Wee ... We feel the way we feel here at PD ... and we comment on what is said at DD ... here ... because again ... we are not allowed to state our opinions at DD. This dame is supposedly suffering with grief at the death of her husband and yet still takes the time to get online and not only post such nonsense, but have the time to check out not one, but TWO inconsequential message boards? Where the HELL are her priorities?? Any normal person would be sobbing into their pillow or clutching at the shoulders of a loved one.

Girlfriend needs a reality check and trip to the cemetary to apologize to the dead husband. Those two, I am sure, will take any and all that is handed to them from their neighbors and co-workers and bosses, in "this their time of sorrow", but will still make time to hit the boards to do nothing more than point fingers and belittle. Mayor Doherty, if he decides too, will win a third term easier than he won the second term. One thing he needs to do though is settle the union contracts, implement the recovery plan once and for all, and the public will be behind him 100 %. Other than the contracts, he has done a wonderful job, in attracting interest in the downtown, sloved or is sloving the parking problems in town, and cleaning up the parks.

Ag, I agree with you 100% Jan can't touch Doherty. Simple fact people will choose Doh re tee or Pilcheskyites, and Fay.

I don't always like Doh ree tees Ideas but I hate The picheskites.



His Girl, She was Regina and is INLOOOOVE with Evans, Beleive me when I tell you, SHE DID NOT write her speeches.
