RE: Corbett and his credibility issue with JP Just for the record, in case WILK gets wind of this thread, I'd be happy to donate an hour a day to do a strictly political, Scr/W.B. talk show. The industry has already experienced the audience growth potential that can be generated from having open, honest and candid discussions on a truthful, no window dressing, to the point, show. There is so much factual discussion that can be heard, we'd be on the air for a decade. Like another poster stated, the people have no voice. I very much admire Sue Henry. She encourages spontaneous answers that peel legitimate layers off an issue to get to the bottom of it. I don't think Steve Corbett is cutting it in terms of gutting an issue for what it's worth. Let the people talk more. They're the taxpayers. Corbett repeatedly runs them down and cuts them short with his own prejudiced opinions, which are seldom on point and the mean nothing to anyone. The people need to relate to, and identify with, one another. Let those who are suffering share it with others suffering the same fate. That has appeal to it.
My only terms would be to "let it go where it goes". I'd make sure it stayed on topic, or else. It would be interesting, make no doubt about that. People need honesty more than ever. It may be painful, but it won't leave a mark, unlike the mark that's left when the honesty is covered up. Traffic would pick up and sponsors would be kicking the door down.

Yes, our boy Joe wants to be a broadcaster. Oh, excuse me while I go laugh my a$$ off for a moment.
[insert ridiculously long laugh break here]
That's better. As far as the advertisers "...kicking the door down.", all I'll say is this: They would be kicking the door down to LEAVE WILK once they receive copies of select DD postings. Good thing we keep copies here
Oh, and can you imagine the size of the Pilchesky cranium should this ever actually happen????

He has an entire message board, and there's hardly anything political about it. It's all rumor, innuendo, half truths, exaggeration, with a sprinkling of personal vendetta.
How will that zebra change his stripes to broadcast an hour a day of "strictly political" anything?
I could be a writer for the 'Joe Pilchesky Show'. Here's an example of an opening monologue:
"Today on the Joe Pilchesky Show on WILK, I'll be telling you why Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty is to blame for Darfur genocide and how I am going to single-handedly stop him through a writ of 'Leviculus Saevio'. Also, in studio today we will have Scranton City Council Member Janet Evans, who will offer career advice to aspiring teachers on how to get a full time job in a public school district by first becomming a School Board Director. Lastly, Granma will stop by and offer us some tips on how to compose effective letters to the editor and why Gary DiBileo really rocks her world. So join us, or I'll sue each and every one of your a$$es."
"Damnit Joanne, where's my Raisin Bran? Oh, that wasn't supposed to be on the air...sorry folks."
