Went to get my morning laugh at DD and all I got was " this sight is gone". I kind of felt hollow without my morning coffee and a good laugh. Is it possible King Joe was taken down? Now that would be funny.

I smell a hacker. Much easier to take down the dd board than the sparklit board. Joe hosts the dd board himself. With his limited tech skills and advanced legal skills he was due to melt the thing down sooner or later. Even without a hacker blwoing it up I'll bet the site gets little or no maintenence.

The only thing that makes me think he might not have been hacked is the message you see when you try to get to the site. A hacker with a sense of humor would have put something good there - instead of just taking the site down.

The message board is fine, it's the main site that appears to be down. Joe doesn't host the message board, but from what I recall, he does host the main site. Maybe he didn't pay his Epix bill?

My money is on an unpaid Earthlink bill, hacker, server maintenance (or lack of it).

I really think unpaid bill is the best bet. Hell, a million hits a day is a lot of bandwidth - Joe must pay a fortune for that. (or not pay)

Looks like they're back in business. I guess everyone's donations paid off and settled the bill. I hope they at least waited until the check cleared....

Looking forward to seeing how they spin it to blame the ICN. Seeing as they haven't yet, Art's guess that the bill was overdue seemspretty spot on.

Funny thing is, Joe has to thank Chris Doherty for allowing his site to continue it's existence.

Google "gripe site" and do some reading. Seems to me like the only way dd.com is still around is because the mayor ignores him.

Better be careful Joey, your site is full of the stuff that typically results in a lawsuit and settlement.
