Have any of you ever seen any of the craftsmanship of McGregor industries? I am just wondering ... they do quality work ... and maybe just maybe they deserved the right to compete for these steel contracts. And should we not be happy that they got these jobs otherwise we would have more people unemployed in Lackawanna County ... the McGregors are not the only ones who benefited from these steel contracts ... they greatly benefited the employees of McGregor Industries ... local people who without these contracts ... would quite possibly be unemployed ... unable to pay their taxes ... and quite possibly forced to move from the area ... is that what you all (lumping again) would prefer to see happen?

Stop with the incest talk please ... I think that you all say that when you can find nothing else to say about people ... I hope that the McGregors end up suing you all also!

Oh and by the way ... you most certainly made up some of this $hit ... maybe not all ... but certainly some of it .... what's amazing is that we here at PD couldn't make up the **** that you all write ... but you all have become quite the hobby for me ... thank you for filling my down time! Apparently like all of you ... I have no life either!

Jealous? Ok, one more time. I don't care what other people have. We're doing just fine, thank you. I know many "silver spooners" who are good and honest people. I don't want to be a member of a country club, since me or my husband do not golf. I can care less about money, since we have quite enough to sustain our family and live comfortably. I'm talking about a scum and his band of thieves. If you're refering (or lumping me in again) with certain posters, than we can agree on something.

I think that has the same meaning as I have lots of friends who are <insert any tag i.e. Black, Jewish, Catholic, ect> Maybe when you get to a point in your life were tagging people is no longer part of your thinking I may start to believe it doesn't matter to you. I'm only going to say this ... money does not factor into Chris Dohert's treatment of people ... I have no money ... yet when I see him he treats me with respect ... his sister ... treats me with respect ... and you know what the funny thing is ... the first time he ran for Mayor ... I didn't vote for him ... he knew this about me ... that I was not in support of his bid for the office of Mayor ... guess what he still treated me with respect ... how about that for the evil person that you claim he is. His entire family treated and treats me with respect ... I did not agree with his agenda the first time around ... and I let them all know it and well ... I was not shunned ... and I don't have a penny to my name ... I can pick up the phone and call the Mayor's office ... so you see your claims that he is only out for people with money and votes ... well you Shari darling are barking up the wrong tree as I speak my mind ... in a respectful manner ... and am treated in return with respect from our Mayor and his family.

I will say it again ... respect is earned ... if you give respect you will get respect in return ... I don't see any respect going on across the hall or here from the posters that have come from that dreaded place.

I have written to Mr. Pilchesky on occassion and have always been respectful in my correspondence with him as he has been with me ... I could lie about that ... but I don't want to be a liar ... as I do not find it to be a quality that is very becoming of anyone.

Explain to me what being a member of the Scranton Country Club has to do with being mayor.
Explain to me why you feel there is something wrong with having a membership.
Is it because it takes a little more prestige and affluence for YOU to acquire that membership?
Or is it because you've applied for membership and they wouldn't let you in?
Or is this just one more "he-won't-let-me-build-a-ramp" rant from the anti-ICN crowd?

It never ceases to amaze me how they (collectively) say they don't begrudge anyone their prestige, affluence or money, but this one sure as hell has enough whining left in her to bitch about everyone having more than she has. Or how Doherty, etal is trying to steal what little money she has and squash her little dreams and ruin her little neighborhood. If you have all these complaints DO SOMETHING about it - put down your keyboard and drag yourself to city hall and DO SOMETHING about it. Jesus H - stop your ranting and stop your whining and for God's sake somebody take this dame up to Summit and buy her a lunch at the club.

Well if a person truly has class they can mix and mingle with people of any class ... if a person has class they treat the poor man the same as they would treat the rich man. When a person truly has class they just treat people in the manner in which they themselves would like to be treated ... at least that's what my Momma told me ... and she was a very wise woman!
