Well don't you know Ag ... it's ok for everyone not to be up to date ... except Chris Doherty ... DD has a special set of rules for Chris Doherty, his family, and his supporters ... they are to be held to a much higher standard ... and nothing that they ever do will be right ... now Gary could probably drop trow and take a $hit on the steps of city hall in the middle of the day ... and that would be ok ... but some website didn't update it site and now it's Chris Doherty's fault that this has happened ... and they need to raise funds so that this can be updated ... but God forbid we put a little extra into our parks ... and do you know why ... that would take away from the crazy things they want to spend money on. Who cares if the kids have safe parks ... they want to start a Pilchesky Defense Fund ... or give money to some organization that can't spend money or won't spend money on the campaign reports that are the focus of their organization ... Not me ... I say buy a new swingset for Weston Park ... give it to the children!

this mayor is downright evil. yes he will do anything to discredit the fire department because they are the largest group of outspoken men in this city. plus, he doesn't want to pay them. just like he didn't want to pay comm D or foot patrols.

did anyone consider that these homes might have been in the way of progress?

Today's DD Idiot is 'McGoof' (aka 'JudyStop-n-Go, Ghost of Milo, etc.) who provides in a single posting many of the reasons why NO ONE (except 'officer' Nelson & Joe's Toadies) takes DD seriously.  Misogyny and homophobia, all in four sentences.  Score!

Maybe someone can give me an example of a serious news site that features posters calling reporters "gay".

Why the Fvck would Sherry+Judy show up? The Times will just have Jermey G Burton who is alleged to keep bar stools warm at a gay bar, write a nice little soap-opera. And Charles, well he might of thought there was a admission fee, and in is favorite style language,gave it a big old Fvck it.

And besides the more Sherry talks the less likable she is, and the more you look at Judy the less likable she is.(my opinion)

I don't understand the non-stop homophobia, either.  Don't forget the references to the "fag fest" at the Colonnade just because those guys dared to try to make a profit by actually catering parties for people who have the money to pay the bill.

With reference to any upstanding citizen, if DD posters have nothing else to bitch about, they play the 'gay' card.

Comes a time when the 'gay' card means absolutely nothing or may even be beneficial to the person they're talking about.

Let me just say, the few "gay" people I know are wonderful human beings, (both male and female); they are polite individuals, they dress impeccably, are well-spoken and well-educated, have beautiful homes which they keep in immaculate condition, and (thanks Glenn) come to think of it, pay their bills on time!

I can see why any of the above-mentioned qualities would be taboo across the hall. And while my gay friends, being the open-minded people they are, would probably befriend any of the posters across the hall -- the homophobic cretins across the hall slap a 'gay' moniker on anyone who happens to dress well and says 'please' and 'thank you'.

You know, sometimes I wish I were gay.

Maybe this is some of the news that "officer" Nelson was referring to?

Anyway, I personally love it when the DD toadies resort to this kind of thing.  It...along with the homophobic comments...are guided credibility killing missiles.  

So please do keep going 'a bitter pill'.  Hell, why not insinuate that she is gay as well?  You can get a two point Pilchesky score that way.

Ok ... I found this today on DD ... and maybe I'm just not getting what Joe Pilchesky is saying with this post ... but can someone (doomers perhaps) please tell me how this conveys the message that Doherty is pissing on the Italians?????  I got this in the mail and I am not Italian.  And all of the Irish Haters on DD should be made aware that Gary DiBileo is half Irish ... his Mom is Irish!

Strange to me that in a race where you're down 10 points, you'd reach out to the Italian voting block and piss all over them.  Perhaps if the target of this flyer was anyone but Gary DiBileo, it would sell.  If Gatelli was the target it would be an overwhelming success. However, Gary DiBileo couldn't be an obstructionist or destructive if his life was on the line.

All this from the Lynetts and Haggertys, the same people who proudly and repeatedly endorsed Ken McDowell, Judy Gatelli, Sherry Fanucci, Fred Belardi and Frank Shimkus.  Some portfolio. In fact, if  not for the Lynetts/Haggertys support of McDowell would would have never had that drunken, incompetent lowlife as the tax collector in the first place. We can thank them for all McDowell has done.

Someone should bring that out at council.

We'd all rather a candidate that was $184,000.00 in debt from the last campaign than someone who took in $184,000.00 from crony contributors.

And Doherty has taken in a lot more than that.

North Korea had a beautiful village near the DMZ we called propaganda village.

It was to show the south how prosperous the north was.

The rest of the country lived in abject poverty. Less than third world conditions.

Kim Jung Il has propaganda village.

Mayor Doherty has Lackawanna Ave. as his propaganda village to display to the world.

While the neglect of Scranton moves us closer to a North Korean existence.

We have a new idiot...Overtime Whore (oops, reverse that)...who wants all of us to believe that two agencies of the Federal Government, the Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are somehow affraid of the Mayor of Scranton Pennyslvania.  I know, I know...we've seen this kind of posting before...but this is just so ABSURD that I just have to call it out.  I'm reasonably sure that the respective Directors of both agencies may not in fact even be able to find Scranton on a map.

Me thinks that 'emitrevO' needs to stock up on foil to line that baseball cap.

Appears to me that the Secret Service and the FBI are AFRAID  to touch anyone connected to Doherty.  I have to wonder what the hell is going on in Scranton and Lackawanna County.  Why are we hands off?  Don't the taxpayers here matter to anyone?

Yes, he did...Shari is utterly, positively convinced that Chris Doherty is some all-powerful Terminator-esque political cyborg that has managed to crush investigations at both the Pennsylvania Attorney General level AND at several agencies of the Federal Government.

I think in a world where...

...the Mayor causes a suicide
...the the PA Attorney General & FBI are intimidated by the Mayor
...a council member has the ability to illegally keep someone in jail
...you can fabricate polls showing 8-15% leads for a candidate that ends up losing

...adding 2 years to the council tenure of Janet Evans is just a minor detail.

I have read a lot of astonishing things here but. nothing as outlandish as that one statement you made.

I don't know fay but it seems you know her less.  I do not attend council meetings.  I am a passive observer.

As the good book states, to paraphrase. if you observe with a good heart you will be able to discern the truth from a lie.

What would possess you to make such a statement.

Why would you try to poison that good woman's heart felt standing up for the city she loves.

What I calmly observe with no prejudice is,  Fay says what she believes and believes what she says.

If you where an honest person and your claim of scripting were true here is what would take place.

Fay approaches podium WITH OUT NOTES and speaks extemporaneously.

Gatelli replies to Fays question.

Answer does not match script handed to Fay.

Fay asks Gatelli, did not Joe PEE give you the script, your response does not match the script I was given.

I was instructed to respond to you here but my response does not match your responds.

Your statement of Fay being scripted by anyone is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

If I wanted all of Lackawanna county to see me on TV, I believe the best way to achieve that would be to.

I approach Fay before council meeting.

I give Fay paper with my words for her to say to council.

Fay rams it down my throat, stating I have my own issues to get answers to.

I leave the bldg. with WNEP TV filming me,  with a black eye, broken nose and teeth falling out.

I could be wrong, I could be wrong, but my assessment of Fay is no way in hell is anyone going to tell that woman what to say.

If you try it is at your own peril.



Oh my dear sarge you are wrong ... Janet does it all of the time ... and she read from the script that Joe Pilchesky gave her ... she was nothing more than his puppet on that particular night.  Joe Pilchesky claimed that he could not speak to the issue because of the impending lawsuit with Judy Gatelli ... but then shows Fay reading from a written statement with Pilchesky standing gaurd behind her ... now you would have to be pretty stupid not to know what was going on that night ... so either you are dumb as **** ... or you didn't see that meeting ... the jury is still out on which it actually is as far as you are concerned.

Is the project on Taylor Hill dead in the water? Looks like the project is stalled, not much equipment on site and they didn't finish the road work they started. Looks to me they forgot to put in sidewalks in front of this shopping center. Will this property become a ghost town even before its finished?
