However the Sloan League Mens Softball had to be moved to Pinebrook?


They have been playing soccor at the SS Complex for a decade. Bishop Hannan used it as it's home field for years. No smoking gun here. A little research wouldn't hurt.

Well Art ... I'm sure that if the people running the Softball Leagues contacted someone at the University that they may just find the University willing to allow games there ...

My first question would be ... Has anyone asked for permission for ballgames to be played?

Once we find that out and if they said no then they might have a bitch ... but come on.... and why does anyone care if people are using the field for Soccor ... you would think that they would be happy that at least one league get to utilize that field ... wouldn't you?

Don't get me wrong here, the gorge is a very comforting setting to see once every five years, but spectacular it is not. There are far more impacting waterfalls in the immediate area. At any rate, the letter writters apparently didn't see the completely deteriorated Davis Trail they had to navigate to get to the platform over the falls, or notice the dilapidated greenhouse, or the disgraceful zoo, or the pool with no diving boards, or the missing grass everywhere, or the missing fence around the garden the cost us 20 thousand, or the, or the and or the..........I could go on for an hour. The workmanship on the treehouse is impressive, I'll give them that, but it's a treehouse that overlooks running water, which can also be seen by driving over the Harrison Ave. Bridge and the Linden St. Bridge. Waste of money, except the value Doherty gets for this kind of nausiating PR. And another thing, I watched a man in a wheelchair struggle to get out of the treehouse because of the pitch of the walkway, and especially the pitch of the concrete entrance. What, no level?

I know it must be true because someone who has no proof of this said it on the radio ... give us the proof ... I think if the other pregnancy scandal made front page news ... this one would have had even bigger headlines ... come on Shed ... where is the proof of this crime ... because that's what it would be.

I do have to ask you how in the world has the multiple lawsuits filed by Joe Pilchesky helped he city of Scranton?

How in the world do the weekly antics of the LOD make life in Scranton better?

Can we agree that a strong point can be made in a dignified manner?

There is not much that is dignified by the DD site ... you call us juvinile ... where on here do we make personal attacks on children? Where on here do we delve into the personal lives of public officials and their families?

Where on this site do we base our statements on half truths ... along with rumor and innuendo?

Where on this site have you found anyone banned simply because they disagree with any of the posters here?

Are we out there costing the taxpayers of the city of Scranton money because of our frivilous lawsuits .... No we are not ... I personally do no make nor do I want to make a habit of filing lawsuits with little or no proof to back up said lawsuits ...

And I would ask a favor of you ... if you do not want to be a member here ... and do not intend to read or post here ... could you please delete your account as we do not want to have false memberships here.

  2. How did the daughter of Judy Gatelli feel when she was smeared in a DD thread? Are the circumstances around the birth of Judy Gatelli's grandaugher any of Joe Pilchesky's business?
  3. How did the children of Sherry Nealon react when they heard that someone was stalking their house (courtesy of multiple DD postings)?
  4. How did the family of a certain deceased city employee feel after having that tragic death re-hashed on DD around Christmas time (quite the present, don't you think?)? Why was the death rehashed? Why simply because Joe Pilchesky wanted another 'stick' to use against the Mayor.

Yupp, a lot to be proud of over there at DD, huh Twisted? Well, post here if you like, just make sure you abide by our rules. Unlike DD, we actually enforce them...even when it comes to people like Janet Evans and Joe Pilchesky.

If DD is doing anything is is going to make politics in scranton Less transparent. Each and every official will be sure to make it a point not to leave any crumbs around if yah catch my drift.
There are certain people in the area that are very very powerful on a much larger level than just NEPA. believe it or not there is. If you think for one second they are bothered by the "Actions" of DD then you are mistaken. You would know it if you bothered them. You guys are just a small group of angry citizens. Every city has them. Every politician deals with them.
