You get a impression about people from the start. After reading the posts for a few weeks,Paul seems like he thinks he'sa tough guy and I just love taming tough guys. Art on the other hand, I've been exposed to from his posts on DD. He brings a counter argument but does it in a non condesending way and with a little humor. Most over there enjoyed his posts. My impression of you from the "city" posts gave me the conclusion you honestly care about our city, but you are believing the hype and bull**** churned out of Doherty's web of friends and"his" newspaper. You were the target of my coming here. I felt you were smart enough to at least listen and maybe I couldoffer some alternative ideas for you to consider. Anyone, and all of you who take the time to create a web site and spend some time sharing ideas, are the people I need to talk to to expose this regime for what it is. These are not nice people we're dealing with. I have many friends on the inside of city government,including inside Doherty's regime who feed me info. When veryimportant info is brought to me, I filter it as bullsh!t or factual. Some gets posted on Joe's site that's legit and some gets tossed or at least filed, while awaiting additional information. I've become close to many posters and we constantly sharea lot of info that may never make it to a post. Rich, poor, regularJoes and connected people have a major problem with the way the city is being run. We are starting to see the result of Doherty's policies. 25% tax increase andover a 50%sewer rate increase. The paper will never tell you the inside story which really pisses me off. Call me a conspiracy nut, if you will, but it's real. That's why I do what I do. I'm not directly under the gun of Doherty but many friends are. I'm nota disgruntled ex-Times employee witha chip on my shoulder either. That's why I drive everyone nuts. They'll never know who I am because I get my info from so many places. I was going to start my own "Doherty exposed" web site a few years ago, but Pilchesky beat me to it. I just jumped on his bus because it took off quickly. I have no bones to pick with any of you personally, I'm not affiliated with Pilchesky or the "LoD" or any other group. I feel strongly that the people don't get a fair break since Doherty took office and I'm very simpathetic to the city union workers because Istudied and know the truth about what Doherty is doing tothem. (Many are my friends in all 4 unions)My sole purpose is to expose Doherty for what he is and I try desparately to focus DD.com on that issue. It's hard to do, because once activists start digging, including myself, corruption is clearly in all parts of the government and many more elected officials are brought into the fray. That was a natural progression for many of us. What started out as a "dohertyeceit" web site has grown to an anti-corrution web site taking in all government agencies in Scranton and the area. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I never once claimed to be an activist. I'm not one to pretend to speak for others, as your man over there does. I'm here for the schadenfreude. If I can get my street plowed and paved along the way, well, that's just gravy.

Tell you what. When the old man stops wasting my tax money with his filings and will let the voters speak for themselves, then I'll stop bashing him. I'm still waiting for one concrete thing he has done to benefit the city to be pointed out. What is he succeeding in doing that is making this city better right now? What change has he effected that makes my life better today? These questions usually what gets us in trouble over there, and they're never, ever answered. Educate me on that, lambchop. Broaden my horizons on these issues.

Shari you are right about one thing and I will give you that ... if it were not for Joe Pilchesky I would never have had the pleasure of getting to know mos of the posters and the displeasure of getting to know a few (they know who they are ... no you and Jumbo are not counted as I actually like you both ...
