What a tragedy about what happened at Va Tech today, my thoughts and prayers are with all those involved. Everyone hug your child, spouse, parent, grandparent, friend, or anyone else who matters to you, because as life states, you never know when it will be over.

A moment of silence for those lost today at VT...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My family's prayers go out to ALL the students and ALL of the faculty and the familes of those affected by this horrific tragedy.

I have some questions though, as it seems that Va. Tech. SERIOUSLY dropped the ball on this one.

1)The first shooting occured at 715 AM and the first emails to the students regarding the FIRST shootings arrived on their computers at roughly 926 AM..almost 2 hours later, these kids had no idea what was awaiting most of them. What was Va Tech security thinking?? Go after this guy before the second round of shootings and end him.

2)How come Va Tech wasn't locked down after the first shooting??? that would have saved most if not all of the lives in the seconds round of shootings.

3) The officer said that the cops walked right in after the shootings had ended. How could this be possible when numerous students had been quoted on different media outlets as saying that shooter had chained most of the main enterences with chains and padlocks, so there is NO WAY the cops could've walked right in. 4) I still feel as there just wasn't one shooter as the facts it appears do point to more than one gunman, I don't why Va Tech does NOT want to look into this further.

I feel Va Tech's President should be questioned by the FBI regarding this, and his campus police staff, as there are way, way, way too many questions and very few answers. It seems at the press conference at 5PM that Va Tech is already trying to hide the facts regarding this from the most important people, the families of the victims. I think some form of criminal charges should be brought forth against the security staff at Va Tech over this, as they FAILED in their duties to make the school secure, after the first shooting.

I feel the officer speaking and the President are going to be under a gag order real soon regarding these matters, and the parants of the victims may never get the answers they truly deserve.

I will say prayers for every one of these victims in this terrible tragedy that could've been avoided.

There will be plenty of time for 'blamestorming' after these poor victims have been put to rest. Pointing fingers now is afront to the lives taken and the families impacted.

We need only look back to the Acker Ave. fire to see the sort of restraint and decorum we can expect from DD.

The shootings in Blacksburg have fckall to do with Scranton politics. It's a tragedy to be sure, but in what way is Scranton even remotely involved in it? We've all seen off topic threads removed by the Black Knight before; why not now? VT's mere mention, and Nobody's asking for a moment of silence, is a weak attempt to humanize that place and keep the topic of conversation focused on them. That empty getsure will be as effective as a Pilchesky lawsuit in rsoftening their reputation. It's more like a fart in an elevator.

Ducky ... you can't really be shocked and surprised at anthing that they say because ... for one they know it all ...and those who reside across the hall are the only ones on the face of God's Green Earth to be able to make a mistake ... the rest of us are expected to be perfect without any room for mistakes in our lives ... so they criticize everyone in the world ... but how many of them would have run into that burning building Paul speaks of ... and how many of them would have used their Psychic abilities to know that this guy would go across the campus on a shooting rampage ... I'm sure they were out looking for him ...

Anyway this was a tragic situation ... many lives lost ... and instead of putting blame on someone ... we here will simply say a prayer for the victims and their families ...

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.
