Funny, but according to Granma, the University doesn't contribute anything to our city. Where was 'Shed' when she was mouthing off? After all, the University apparently does help charity cases...the let 'Shed' use their computers.

I always laugh when the idiots over there bash the University for not giving back. The school has about ten differnt scholarships strickly for local residents. These are not 5k or 10 k either. These are close to full rides. They take kids from all over who have the grades but no money.

They give full and i repeat FULL use of the library facilites to the entire population of lackawanna county. If you have a libaray card you can get a U of S libaray card as well. CPU, BOOKS, TONS OF MATERIAL THERE. Plus amazing archives and just a great building. There are countless student Run organizations that contribute to the city as well. These people suffer from class envy worse than anyone I have ever seen. They just don't like anything nice. JAnet Evans is really bad about this. She is very critical of the U and has made many enemies over it. That is why they all jump on the "we hate the U" bandwagon.

Since 1888 it has been giving a world class education right in our back yard and these mental midgets want to see them gone.

Hers is the most idiotic and paranoid excuse possible to give. Not suprising, though, given that she is the one of the most ignorant and misinformed posters on board.

I'll agree with the no responding to e-mails unless you can verify the sender policy. That's reasonable enough and I do the same thing. But blowing off PMs because you think they'll compromise your identity? Tin Foil, ailse 15, Mrs. Evans.

PM is a function that is can only be accessed by registered members. If Janet knows and trust Hardcore, then she really has nothing to fear from his e-mails. I doubt that her "identity" would be that much of a suprise, or even that important to him in the grand scheme of things. She can't PM me, I can't PM her; she's fairly safe in her little coccoon of support over there.

But if she enjoys playing her little espionage game, and believes she's so wily and clever, who am I to spoil her good time. Enjoy it while it lasts, though, Janet.

Anti is starting to annoy certain posters and don't forget Joey is under close watch now on that board. This was an attempt to give the appearance that all have a say on that board and that racist remarks are called out. Don't forget goon squad we have a few classic "anti" posts saved. :)) Try to find any negative comments from posters on the ones we saved. Good luck searching!! They will be few and far between, you misguided little goons. All in all though... the thread was a nice try but weak, and about a year and a half too late.

I read the thread in question, and it did have a kind of "roadkill" appeal to it (meaning that you know it's disgusting to look at, but you still do). Regardless, serial-plaintiff Joe Pilchesky can get religion all he wants now about clamping down on the hate-speech (either directly or through his minions), but he can't re-write history. Nice try, but this effort is about as effective as having Bill Clinton do Public Service Announcements about the sanctity of marriage...too little, too late.

$300 for a personal transcriber just to prove a weak point. I thought Granma was dumb....

If she was such a transcription goddess, she would know instinctively that 6 is shorthand for June, not 7. And if her proofreading is so suspect as to allow the word "July" to be substitued for "June" ("Got tired of waiting for council's court reporter to post the minutes. She is stuck at July 14, 2007"), and it takes her over an hour to catch the mistake, then it calls into question the very accuracy of her transcription of the meeting in the first place. Slow as it may be, I'll trust the "official" version of events, not some hack politician with an agenda's version, thank you very much.

Vince...I remember asking the same question about a year so ago. Don't feel bad...hell, we only just found out who "Gibby Joe" was. The DD crew does tend to speak in something of a code.

Anyway, ICN stands for Irish Catholic Network.

As for what it is, that depends. Personally, I think it's a cross between SPECTRE and something that you'd hear on late-nite radio (think Art Bell). Yupp, your basic paranoid fantasy. Most of the DD crew think that it's this secret society of Irish-Americans who clandestinely strive to oppress everyone who is not of Irish decent. Yes, I know, this is 2006 (not 1906), but hey, it's what they believe.

We can't forget the night she showed pictures of her beautiful grandchildren. What would be said if we brought our children and granchildren's pictures?
