I normally have my clockradio set to WILK as my wake-up, mainly because they do the weather frequently and you can catch the headlines. However that's going to change, starting immediately. Why? It's clear that Nancy Kman & company know that the Legion crew are listeners, and they are all to happy to pander accordingly. This morning the morning crew was crowing about how "Democracy Worked" last night at the council meeting. Excuse me, but...
...Is democracy working when Joe Pilchesky (who as been a call-in guest on WILK shows) uses the legal system has his own...all be it horribly unsuccessful...blunt instrument for retribution against people he simply does not like? How many court cases involving real issues are delayed simply because Pilchesky wants to play Perry Mason? ...Is democracy working when speakers who happen to agree with the Mayor and council majority are heckled from the gallery? ...Is democracy working when Janet Evans, instead of simply making an appointment to see the Mayor, instead marches up to his office with the Legion in tow in nothing more than display for the troops? ...Is democracy working when Janet Evans can cry about being told 'she sucks' on this website but then completely ignore very real threats made against other council members on the DD site? ...Is democracy working when someone like Janet Evans can whine about "the politically connected" getting jobs when she herself was appointed to a teaching job while simultaneously serving on the board that, surprise, appoints teachers?
In the end, I have to remind myself that WILK is a business, nothing more, nothing less. They are shilling for ratings, and they have obviously found that the Legion/DD crew like to sit around and hear themselves talk on the Nancy & Kevin and Sue Henry shows, just as they have figured out that lots of people like to listen to that 'pimple of the ass of broadcasting', Rush Limbaugh. That's all well and good. As for me, I now listen to Sirius Satellite Radio in my car (well worth the investment folks) and very soon my clockradio will soon be re-set to WVIA-FM.

She said comments were made about her on "a" website. Technically that could include DD.com as several people have taken sots at her over there. (and then were promptly banned)
I admit, I listened to WILK last week. I had intended to listen for only a few minutes, but got all wrapped up in the Bolus and Pilcheski interviews. Then I needed a shower.
I NEVER listen to any talk radio. To me, it ranks right up there with static. When any taking heads start yakking about weather and their opinions about American Idol, that channel is switched immediately. For me to listen to that drivel for any longer than a minute and a half without me sticking an ice pick in my ear, says a little something.
When I came into the ofice this morning, the boss had the radio set to WILK. I listened while those two nitwits blahblahblah'ed about talking to the mayor and isn't he an elitist. ROCK 107 never hit my radio so fast (here comes Chip the Beer guy, folks).
Then I flipped open the paper and there's Shoemaker with duct tape over her trap. Didn't she bring enough for everyone? That's not polite to only bring enough for yourself, Marie. Give a big old honkin' piece to Miss Clairol while you are at it.
I don't know if this is old news, but ... I just found out that the WILK Steve Corbett is allegedly one of the many many many Minooka Corbetts. My source (a guy who my husband knows, knows a broad whose daughter went to school with a guy that lived in New York but moved to Minooka fifteen years ago) tells me Corbett was allegedly fired from a talking-head job at WARM so many years ago. He was allegedly fired because the station had to make alledged excuses and disclaimers for him once too many alleged times.
He was a Times Leader columnist who was forced to leave in disgrace about 5 or 6 years ago. Went west and did a brief stint covering some lame Hollywood trial for Court TV (or something like that).
As for the Janet Evans website comment, I can't believe that she would be referring to DD, as anti-Janet comments on DD last about as long as a $50 bill would on the floor of a NY subway. Oh, and I am sure that they check out this site, even if they don't want to admit it.
Regarding Steve Corbett, he IS related to the Minooka Corbetts...although he is not one of the late Jake (Minooka Subaru) Corbett's kids. I don't know much about the guy's resume, and to be honest I don't care about his resume. All I need to know is that he panders to the DD/LoD thugs on WILK.

This site is a guilty pleasure for them. Guess who registered and was approved for PD membership? That's right it's none other than Joey the Pil himself ... I just have this to say to all of the moderators ... please make sure that his posts are respectful ... if they are not ... yank them down ... I have sent him a PM stating that he is to read the rules of conduct and that he must remain respectful so he is aware of how things work here. We will not let him turn this into DD.

I want everyone to stop and think about one thing ... Joe Pilchesky is not a lawyer ... he's just a guy playing a lawyer on the internet. Please don't trust your legal needs to this man.
I think it's great that he registered, although I don't know when he would have the time to post here, what between taking down anti-Janet Evans postings at DD, digging up dirt on people he does not like, and furthering his career as a serial plaintiff.
I will say this for him though: the man has does have 'huevos' the size of churchbells, that's for sure.
