Many Scranton Police Officers deserving of high praise

With all the negative reports lately about crony officers, officers using and or dealing drugs, etc. I would like to say thank you to the rest of the force for doing their jobs without expecting political favors as a reward. A situation recently occured where a home was broken into while the two occupants were sleeping, the person had them at knifepoint. The police arrived in less than one minute and had the person in custody while making sure there were no more threats to anyone's safety at the scene. The officers conducted themselves as professionals and showed that they were genuinely concerned for the safety of those invovled. IMHO you can't say thank you enough to those fine men and women who put their lives on the line for ours.

It may very well be true.  But I will not take simply the word of a DD poster that it is.  Back it up with something.  Anything.  Just because Joe or one of his IDs believes it to be true, it does not automatically make it true.  In other words, PROVE IT!

Paul, the other day I was walking up Mulberry and I saw a cop talking to young man.  The young was being cooporative but the cop was screaming at him.  The cop then punchd the guy in the face and pepper sprayed him.  He saw me and told me he would arrest me if I said anything to any body.  I feel safe in this forum because my identity is concealed.  







NOW THAT WHOLE THING IS A LIE.  BUT IF I POSTED IT WITHOUT THIS DISCLAIMER YOU MIGHT WANT TO BELIVE IT JUST A LITTLE.  MAYBE NOT.  WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO PROVE A POINT AND HAVE NO NAME, FACE OR ANY OTHER WAY OF BEING TRACKED DOWN FOR VARIFICATION THEN IT IS EASY AS HELL TO MAKE UP SOME ****.  MY GUESS IS IT IS A HALF TRUE STORY.  IF IT WERE ALL TRUE SOMEONE WHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT.  BEING HELD UP AT KNIFE POINT, 1 MINUTE RESPONSE, ARREST......THOSE ARE THE TYPE OF COP STORIES THAT ARE ALL OVER THE PAPER.
