Darthart wrote what any normal person was thinking when the clowns at dd started their tirade on Fannuchi's picture in the Times.  He pointed out their childish and dim witted remarks.  Well they all shot back and one especially shot back with quite at diatripe.  HE says that not only should art kill himself or be dead in general but also that he is un-American and a nazi. 

ARE THESE PEOPLE FOR ****ING REAL!?!?!?!?!?

They are all such whining little pussies and big tuff guys behind the computer nerds its isnt even funny.  I do not know how they have gottten away with it this long.

Not to make light of your post, Tim, but it just struck me as funny that the words "serious" and "threat" were used in the same sentence as "Pilchesky", outside of "Pilchesky's a serious threat to make an even bigger ass of himself in his next court appearance."  I think the old man and his band of skidmarks make so many threats daily that they have no intention whatsoever of backing up that we're just jaded by it anymore.  Jim Burch threatens to kick an ass, the sun sets in the west, obladi, oblada, life goes on. 

Another thing bothering me is where do I recognize V's avatar from?  Some third rate horror flick, IIRC.  Makes sense, a third rate movie character avatar for a third rate message board poster.

I have to go out for the evening and can't watch this thread so if there are any PD members popping in and out this evening ... could you please post any flippant replies or threatening replies to this post ... if you happen to see any ...

You know what Paul ... I just don't like this post at all that is why I felt the need to put it up here so there is a record of it ... and I think all of our Posters here at PD know that this behavior would never be tolerated here ... if you ever see anything like this please Moderators make sure you copy and paste and mail it to me so I know what is taking place here ... and if there is a real threat I will not hesitate to hand over an IP address in order to assure the safety of all Posters at PD.

The Council Show will be starting soon, so they're probably all power-chugging the cans of Vitriol Cola now to be sure they'll have plenty to spew this evening.

I'll be home with the Really Important Television (namely, Duke getting housed, and Indiana taking it to Gonzaga), so I'll make the occasional sweep through.

Just kidding.  You're safe, like all others.  I don't see any direct threat, it's only a contrasting opinion of perhaps how you'd better serve the purposes of civic mindedness.  Take it with a grain of salt.  I don't agree with "V", I think you serve a hearty purpose on this forum.  Where would we be without a little stirring antagonistic warfare.  You can appreciate the sincerity, I'm sure.  However, since you feel that your life is threatened, (not sure how) I have contacted the poster "V" and advised him/her to lighen up a little.  He/she doesn't post often, but when he/she does, it's usually colored in revolutionary passion - sometimes compassion, but not necessarily in your case.  Just hang on tight, my friend, we're all just getting warmed up. Having fun yet?

I have been contacted by several people who claim to post here and they have given me reason to be fearful for my life the the well being of my immediate family.

Now I know how Joe must feel.

Who would have thought that "anonymous" posting on a web site would lead to such an occurrence. This is greatly concerning to me. Why would such behavior be allowed or encouraged? Who here is willing to come to my defense?

You've been contacted by several people who claim to post here? How? Obviously if it were through here, via private messaging, you would know who they are and they are, in fact, posters. No one here has encouraged threats of any kind endangering anyone or their families. If these are legitimate threats and not just some kind of stunt, bring them forward.
