Now I am thinking that if you all aren't careful ... you just might end up in the same situation as Pottsville.� You know where you need to give 5 days notice as to what you want to say ... and then you must be approved by the MAYOR first (that part just might kill you all) ... that's what's coming for all of you ... you will have your freedom of speech all right ... it will just be very scheduled.

For as much as I can roll my eyes and curse at the television on Thursday nights, I think the Pottsville criteria for council meetings is a load of crap. zNot only is it a ridiculous idea, but THAT I feel is infringing on civil liberties -- when you have to get permission from the same person whose practices you are (most likely) speaking out against? I think Pottsville is just trying to outshine Hazleton and their immigration bill. They just want their name a little brighter on the map of Pennsylvania. and as for Granma .... duhrrrr. __________________ Stupid people piss me off !

Girl, I certainly don't agree with the Pottsville policy ... but I can see it coming for Scranton if the behavior keeps up ... The Pottsville Policy well there must have been reasoning behind it ... maybe they were (and I find this unbelievable myself) more out of control than the people who attend Scranton City Council Meetings.� I think that policy will more than likely be overturned. While we are on the subject of headline grabbing policies ... There are many policies coming forward in the surrounding area that should not be ... and forgive me for going off topic here ... but what about that Dunmore Policy ... you know the one that charges non residents for emergency services ... that's a pisser of a policy ...� But what I have to really wonder is this ... why is this not a topic on DD ... why is Joe Pilchesky not up�in arms over this?� I have been looking (and maybe I'm just missing it) but I have not seen one word on this, for or against!� I am against this policy by the way!� Lus __________________ I want everyone to stop and think about one thing ... I am sure they are ALL up in arms across the hall and can't wait to sink their teeth into that topic, but since Doherty hasn't dipped his fingers into it, they've been given the "heel" command by Joe and Janet. Oohhh, I hope Joanne isn't upset, being relegated to the cheap seats by Miss Clairol. Janet's probably put the kaibash on speaking outright about it on a message board. It may be Joe's board, but I am sure she weighs a heavy hand in how and what is discussed. She claims to barely know about the board and adamantly denies posting there, but her input is quite obvious, whether or not she (or he) admits it. Has anyone else noticed just how tame the natives have become. Either the pm's were flying back and forth about attitude/behavior/vulgarity or Jan stuck a 'lude or two in the bugjuice. After all, election time is rolling around and we must remain all scrubbed up and on our best behavior. __________________ Stupid people piss me off !
